A picture says a thousand words. But also my teriyaki salmon tasted like it was grilled in chicken gristle and covered in watered down sauce. The rice is under cooked. And that’s the saddest excuse for a salad that I’ve ever seen.

I’m not a fan of greasy food at airports so this was where I chose to get my first meal of the day. They were stocking the grab n’ go portion of their restaurant so I waited patiently and eagerly, for about 5 seconds lol. I grabbed their Rainbow Roll. It was topped with an assortment of soft and tender fresh fish , and filled generously with sweet and fresh avocado and crab filling. It went very well with a small dab of soy sauce. It was delicious and great quality too, on par with sushi I’ve had in Japan. I reccomend the sushi since that’s all I’ve had the time to try. The men at the counter and working the food were kind and greeted me instantly. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Do not order the tempura udon. The “tempura” vegetables (including some sort of unpeeled squash, not zucchini) seem like they haven’t even been fried, and then are soaked through. There are raw carrots, spinach, and broccoli in the soup as well. The noodles are fine though. This soup was $19 before tax btw

I tried this restaurant on my stop over at the San Jose International Airport. It was okay. I had the Donburi bowl with miso soup. The bowl was actually good but I didn’t quite like the soup. I also had the Japanese Wafer desert ice cream. It was okay. It had somewhat of a coffee taste to it.

Stopped by this location of Sushi Boat first time in 3+ years. It was a complete disappointment. The food was awful, service was rude, and the place was dirty as hell. On top of that, this was the only place where I used my credit card on my business trip to the Bay Area. 10 days later, someone started using my credit card and buying things in Alviso, CA, and online stores.

Pretty decent food for an airport restaurant! I had the teriyaki chicken and my fellow traveler had the tonkasu. Both were good.

SLOW!!!!! Hello?! You’re a restaurant at an AIRPORT…people are on a SCHEDULE with no flexibility. We would all love to take our time with our jobs but that’s just not your reality.

I had a bit of time to kill before my flight so I decided to patronize this business. What a big mistake. They were busy, which I understand. I had time to kill so it was no big deal. The girl at the register, looking all flustered interrupted me mid sentence while I was ordering, telling me I had to wait 15 minutes. I have no comprehension issues so I KNOW that’s what she said. So I stepped aside. She didn’t stop me or correct herself or anything so I did wait 15 minutes before ordering. The whole time I was waiting she never said a word to me even though it slowed down and would have had a moment to take 5 seconds to say something. She looked right at me several times. So I ordered and was given the choice to take a receipt or not. I opted not to just like the countless other patrons. They problem with that is that they call you by your number when your food is ready. Since she didn’t gives me a receipt, I didn’t know what my number was. I inquired about my order 20 minutes after ordering, during which time she looked right at me and didn’t say a word about my order being ready. By that point the food was cold and I didn’t want it. I am still waiting for a refund from this awful experience. I wish I had gotten a receipt and her name. She’s the unattractive, slightly overweight Caucasian girl in her late 20’s/early 30’s with a condescending air to her.

This was my go-to place whenever I came to SJC but today I had the worst tempura of my life. Half of it was soggy and the batter is just terrible. I think the prices have also gone up. What a shame, I was so happy to have a decent Asian food place while waiting for my flight. My husband got a veggie donburi and was also very underwhelmed. This is the last time we’ll eat here, definitely checking out other eateries next time.
