I ordered the fish platter and my husband ordered the fried shrimp platter. The Fish was fried to perfection, 4 large catfish fillets juicy and tender. Fries were amazing! Very family friendly environment clean area the service was amazing as well. I will definitely return with my family, when I go back to the beach! My kiddos ordered a cheeseburger and they were very happy with it!! My kids are picky eaters too lol!!

Was excited to hear the new Surfing Crab opened in Portland! Seafood tasted as great as the other locations, just in a smaller restaurant space. Really enjoy the Daily Special (snow crab, shrimp, crawfish and sausage/corn) with Surfing Crab special medium sauce. The sauce served with the fried rice was also good, sweet creamy sauce that reminded me of Benihana.

We used to go to a popular seafood place in Rockport (since that’s where we live) before we tried this place. Their seafood is outstanding and cooked to perfection. We get the seasoning that has all of them combined and it is amazing. Try this place and you won’t be disappointed. Also they are very quick with the food. We never have waited long.

The service and the layout of this place are the worst. If you are a small party, they will be rushing you to eat, pay, and leave. They will give you the check in the middle of your main dish. Or if they have open tables, but if you are a party of one or two, they will have you waiting to let bigger parties get the tables while you wait. The last time I went, I waited 20 minutes, and nobody was coming so the hostess told me then to get one of the big table for us two, we were about to sit when the manager came and said we couldn’t sit at the table we were offered because that table was for a bigger crowd and went after the hostess, I just decided to leave. If you want to eat a real boil, go to the boiling pot, the service is even better, and their crawfish is fresh, not frozen!

This place was pretty bad. The fried food all tasted the same. The breading on the shrimp was much too thick. Poor selection of beer. The server was good though. Why would you eat here when you can go to the Executive Surf Club? The prices are ridiculous considering how bad the food was.

The Surfing Crab’s fried rice game is on point, and the steamed corn was delicious. The Surf and Turf burger was a home run! If you could order that burger with a slice of Manchego cheese it would be Michelin star worthy.
