This restaurant rarely falls short of amazing. The last time we were there, we dined in. Portions are so generous, that, despite our being quite hungry, we had food to take home. We love the mondongo, black beans, fried rice, plaintains–all of it! This is one place in our area that has not sacrified quality. What’s more, the people who work there seem truly pleased to offer delicious food and to serve. What a difference these days!

It’s a shame I’ve lived <2 miles away from this place for three years until I decided to try it. I always went to the McDonald’s next to it. It’s a fantastic chicken joint with delicious food and reasonable quantities for the price. ~$19.50 for a half pound of chicken with two sides (such as mashed potatoes, corn, fries, etc.) and a quarter pound of chicken with two sides is a hard bargain to beat. Especially when it’s so delicious. They have hot sauce and ketchup at the tables as well as their yellow and green sauces. I’m not a fan of the green one but the yellow is like a simple honey mustard and it’s really good. Parking in front or back. Only con is no fountain drink machines so you have to buy from the cooler. Otherwise, a great underrated restaurant.
