I was trying to resist tasting before I took the picture, but the hunger got the best of me. Walked in after work around 6, to my surprise, there was no wait. Place looks a bit dated, but if the rest of the food is as good as the beef patty…. who cares. I ordered a small curry chicken & small jerk with rice and peas. There is a 5% up charge applied to all non-cash purchases. Wait time was about 10mins. Spicy but very flavorful. Not the best, but not the worst.

The food was 1000% better the last time we ate there. Whoever cooked today must have been angry. Also, they have homemade sorrel on the menu and sell you a bottled one not made there. No thanks. Never again.

Found this little Jamaican Restaurant walking around Stamford. The food is great. I wish their would be an update on the menu and price online, but that’s just small matters. I love engaging with the light skin lady with glasses.she Keeps me on my toes. I recommend it to anyone. The price is right, and I don’t mind coming back for more.

I gave her a $20, My change was 3.80…with a straight face and a tip jar with change and ones she said, we only have 3.10 cents in the drawer. No apology, no let’s see what we can do, no just take $4…I had to suggest the tip jar change or a couple extra plantain to which she said NO! i wound up getting shorted 5cents. Still no attempt at accommodation or apology. Pitiful service and this is why we can’t patronize certain establishments. Already found another superior chicken joint -not like it’s hard in this city.

So I believe the only thing that is fresh on this plate is probably the goat meat. Honest I don’t believe that is either. The rice is very mushy as if it was warmed up from last night the cabbage is not done at all like they cut it up put it on just to add warmth there just for like literally a minute and then idk. Presentation portion and smell is great but the preparation is awful. In addition they took forever to bring out our To go plates. Never ever will I eat here.

Food is of good portion and cheap price. The pork jerky is very tasty and a little spicy. The fried chicken is different from American fried chicken, and is also tasty. The girl at the ordering counter is not good at explaining things at all. Not impressed with her. Even dining in dishes come in to-go boxes, which is strange, and shows this place is not remotely interested in creating a good dining experience. But food quality and portion deserve 5 stars.

Very disappointing in my two oxtails plates. Extremely small pieces with hardly any meat. This was my favorite jamaican restaurant until yesterday. Food was not as consistent and tasty as I remembered. Oxtails were not tender at all. Overall Very Disappointed.
