This place has really gone downhill over the years. We used to come in and everyone would be really friendly. The food was really good too. Now the food is just ok and the service is mediocre. There are still 1 or 2 friendly people working here, but there are some really rude people too. I would personally never choose to come here again, but my husband occasionally likes to go.

I love this place. I first went to their sister shop in Jackson The Jackson waffle shop, and it was a great experience the people are so friendly. So I came down here and found out sunrise waffle shop was the same owner. The people at the shop are just as friendly, welcoming, a real country feel in the city it is awesome. The waffles are out of this world in my opinion delicious fluffy and the to go package with the strawberry waffle is absolutely great. Compliments to the chef for keeping it so consistent. You go from the shop in Jackson to the sunrise one and the waffles are identical it is really impressive. You know what you’re getting.

Overall, it was ok. I bought a Groupon for $20 that stated Breakfast or Lunch for 2. The food was too pricey to cover two meals. So I still ended up paying for a 2nd meal. What made the experience enjoyable was the waitress we had. She was prompt, so kind, and professional.

The wait staff was friendly enough but unattendtive had to ask for coffee refills repeatedly, even though it wasn’t busy. We ordered the steak special and had to send it back twice! Honestly the best part of the meal was the English Muffins. For the price I expect alot more I don’t see myself coming back again.
