Sunrise coffee and tea lounge is a hidden gem! Fresh Russian style bakery items and the coffee has amazing flavor! I got a shaken iced coffee with cream and maple syrup. The owner is a very kind Russian woman and her husband. She makes a lot of her organic syrups from scratch with items from her own garden. I do have to tend to ask for my coffee a bit sweeter, I told her American style please . Picked up a raspberry Russian waffle and a raspberry shortbread cookie. The waffle was filled with cold fresh cream and had such a nice light refreshing sweetness to it and the shortbread cookie was divine! She is very proud of her products as she well should be. She’s working on getting a card reader but as far as right now this business is cash only. I’m so glad I stopped in today!

The owner made us very good ice lattes. She put maple syrup in them, a flavor I’ve never had in a latte, and it worked well! She was very friendly, and you can tell that she puts a lot of effort into making a good cup of coffee herself, instead of just trying to quickly pump out cheap coffee. A nice local experience with plenty of indoor seating!

This is such a great place to get coffee and unwind. Had a breve, latte, and some pastries- all fantastic. It’s a very cute building inside and out. The owners are great to chat with and she knows her stuff! We will definitely be back.

This place is a gem. Espresso is as good as in NYC. Interior is warming, nicely decorated. Fresh brewed mint, lemon and hibiscus tea!!! What a great place!

You should definitely come visit this cute cafe!! The service is outstanding. When the owner makes you a drink, she always asks you to taste it to make sure you like it (I’m always satisfied!), and if you don’t like it, she’ll make adjustments. I love how personalized the coffee and tea is. You can tell the owner genuinely cares for her customers and loves crafting drinks. Usually I get a hot latte with a little bit of maybe syrup and today I also tried some of the baked goods, which were delicious! The atmosphere is also very cozy and comfortable! It’s a great place to talk, or to read a book (there’s a ton of books in the store to read too). Every time I come to Higginsville, I make sure to stop here.

Stopped in this morning for a vanilla latte and it did not disappoint. Very good! I like them sweet and it was made just how I liked it. I purchased a jar of pickled beets for my daughter and she loved them. We also tried the Russian pastries (they were like canolis) and they were quite tasty. The owners husband is a wood worker and he crafted the table tops. They are beautiful. He has some of his wood work for sale in store.

We took a random detour off the highway and were greatly rewarded for it. This place is amazing! We’re traveling from Calgary to Kentucky and it was the most authentic experience we’ve had this entire trip. We were greeted by someone more like a host in her home rather than a server behind the counter. After chatting for a few minutes and trying a few samples, we discovered that everything was unique and clearly homemade. Her love and pride of the shop was evident from the first bite of our delicious and delicate red velvet cookie. We intend on making this trip annually and this will be one of the stops we will be looking forward to.

I was there to buy coffee beans and ended up buying some good bread the owner made. She puts a lot of thought into what she puts in her food. As someone watching what goes into my body I appreciate that. I don’t want processed food and ingredients that I have to wonder what it’s going to do to my digestive system.

This is an amazing little Cafe in downtown Higginsville! The inside has a very homey feeling, they have an eclectic mix of tables and chairs. I ended up getting a latte with cream, she had several homemade flavorings to put in pineapple, chocolate, lavender, and mango (these are the ones I can remember). I chose lavender, it was divine! I will definitely be back to try some others and enjoy that one again. She also had some baked goods available. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us, giving us all the options and her personal opinion! This is a MUST stop if you are coming through and they’re open!!

Go here. Its a must. Home made coffee flavoring shaken to perfection. Real eggs from local grandma, you will notice instantly the difference as they cook, the smell, the way they cook, it makes the grocery store eggs seem like garbage. Tons of homemade treats and real food from local farms. It is 100% worth it.
