Nice to have another good breakfast place in Tualatin. The portions are generous so come hungry. We wanted to try the cinnamon roll but they were too huge. We ended up splitting a scramble and it was a perfect amount. It was also very good. We will go again.

We wanted to check this place out, so I took the wife there on Mother’s Day. It’s a fairly large building for a diner. About half the tables were empty on one side because they didn’t have enough staff to cover everything. Even so, we still only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. I didn’t see other people waiting for more than a few minutes.

With an eclectic breakfast menu, a friendly staff, and a dining area that is both modern and retro. It’s a great place to start the day!Located in the Nyberg Woods Shopping Center off of I5, this little gem should be at the top of your need to go to list. Dined here this morning with family, the restaurant just opened this week. It was awesome! I ordered a chorizo omelet, normally it comes with toast but I decided to upgrade the toast to pancakes for a little extra. First, the buttermilk pancakes were delicious! They had a Creamy sweetness and very fluffy, perfect color, fantastic! And the chorizo omelet was amazing, it had a little kick to it, and was very flavorful and filling. They make their own chorizo, and it’s better than store-bought! The omelet was served over a bed of hashbrowns which were nice and crispy and thanks to the house-made salsa, were also quite flavorful. I washed it all down with a mimosa which was very refreshing. My family really enjoyed the food as well. And the portions were nice and big, just look at my photo I provided.

Here for the first time but not the last! Haven’t seen fresh potato hashbrowns in forever and they were so crispy. Corned beef hash was a great combo to have and I’m usually a bacon person but the sausage links here are so much better than the mediocre ones you usually get elsewhere. Also found out the bread they serve is all baked fresh in house every morning. You just don’t see this level of freshness in a diner anymore. Definitely going to try some fresh biscuits and gravy or a Reuben with that good corned beef next time! Also had to grab myself one of their merch mugs bc the logo is so fun.

Great food and even better service! And we are mad we didn’t find it sooner! And I think our only disappointment is the fact that they close at 3 PM. Don’t most diners stay open 24 hours? Lol but with food like this, a full bar, And these two girls on the team, this place could be packed 24 seven. A young dark-haired lady took us to our table and told us she would be back. Not a minute later, another woman who introduced herself as Carrie came over and offered us something to drink. We saw her stop at a couple other tables and figured it would be a while before she got back with her drink… Bad start… But boy were we wrong! the cool part about this restaurant as you can see everything the employees are doing! We watched Carrie stop at three other tables, go behind the counter, get a huge tray and fill it with all the drinks and skillfully deliver each one without dropping them! So when we found out it was her first day here we were flabbergasted! We assumed we would have to wait for another waitress to take our order, but Carrie was ready to take it, and she did it like she’s been there for years! The other young lady brought us our food in less than 10 minutes and this was definitely an eye-popping meal! The portions are huge the food is hot Terry did not let our coffee cups get below half and the other young lady, who we were great, not asking her name, was a great support for carrie, and also working just as hard taking orders and to our surprise, training Carrie! Carrie made sure to give the entire resturant team credit was the topper for us. The atmosphere and environment were like home! But with servers that work together like they were related and had been doing it for years. Anyway, I highly recommend this place I don’t know what all the bad reviews are about service because we rate this in our top 10 service experiences, and we have traveled the world! *photo is of my leftovers!*

We stopped in for breakfast Sunday morning, Aug 12 around 0900. We were quickly seated and the server took our drink order right then. She returned quickly with our coffees and creamer. She came back around for our order, which we weren’t quite ready for so she gave us some more time and came right back around when we were ready. There was hardly any waiting. We both had the cheddar cheese omelet, one with ham added, the other with sausage added. We had our coffees topped off regularly, again, never having to wait. Our food came out pretty quickly. They serve pretty large portions so you’re definitely getting your moneys worth. The food tasted great! Their cinnamon toast is REALLY good! Their bread is homemade and you can definitely taste the difference! The server was a very nice young lady. She’s on point, never having us wait for anything. She also let us know their lunch menu, which has great options, was also available during breakfast. We ended up having food to take home. The restaurant is nice and clean. Every interaction we had was pleasant. The food was great. I highly recommend Sunny’s Diner for breakfast. I look forward to returning to try their lunch menu.

My family loves Sunny’s Diner in Vancouver. That being said, we tried the new location in Tualitin and I felt so bad for the staff. The food was still great other than 1 uncooked egg on a burger , we waited 45 minutes to get our food but had an amazing waitress, Carrie. The shift manager however was not a nice person. He was short with the staff and customers. This manager was openly blaming the staff for being behind instead of just apologizing for the wait and offering a solution. Could visibly see him harassing the cooks from our table instead of helping. Definitely not a people person. We will stick with the Vancouver location for sure.

My family went to Sunny’s for breakfast and our first visit was ok. I was disappointed in the blandness of the sausage gravy and biscuits. ( reason for the 4 stars) Everyone else got an omelette and were very happy with them. The service was great!! The next time I went I had hash browns and an omelette. It was delicious!! my hash browns were crispy just like I like them. Again the service was great!
