For a Coney Island, it’s a 5/5. No one is expecting a Coney to be fine dining – at Sunny’s the food was good, the service was friendly, the place was clean and comfortable. If I’m in the area and in that Coney Island mood, I’ll definitely come back here

Arrived a few minutes on a Saturday after they opened and regulars looked like they were already there. Sat at the counter. Angel promptly gave me coffee and water. My coffee cup never got 1/2 empty. They were busy and she and Ray? hustled to get it done. Had the Gyro omelette with grits and wheat toast. It was too much food but great way to prepare for a day of flying. Grits were great but that omelette was perfect. Fluffy light eggs, gyro meat, tomato and feta. Angel was one of the best servers I have watched work lately great attitude.

Clean and friendly, super happy to be here. Hot, fresh food, great taste. Food came quickly, wait staff was available and accommodating (specifically Jackie, who was our waitress and promptly took care of us). Breakfast was great, had the Greek omelette, and friends had grits as well as the Gyro sandwich. Definitely recommend. Great neighborhood place to eat. The only downside I found was the ladies room. I’m thankful they have one, but it was less than inviting.

Had breakfast on a Saturday morning and had a mixed experience. Our order was taken quickly and we got drinks fast but breakfast took more than 20 minutes to arrive. When it did come it was good and the price was fair so overall enjoyed it.

I ordered a grilled chicken salad and my fiancé ordered gyro omelet. Onions, cucumber and tomato was not fresh. The only think that was good was the chicken. And I waited over 30 mins and it was not what I expected at all.

Whoever wrote bad reviews must have prior issues with the owners, this place is great! A hidden gem in plain view. I was skeptical at first, but as soon as I saw their coney dogs I knew it was gonna be good! So much coney sauce and a great dog! Then I had to taste the biscuits and gravy…… the sausage gravy is good, but the biscuits rocked my world! The cook must’ve buttered and grilled them on the cut sides quick or something, but those things melt in your mouth! I had some extra gravy because they serve so much so I ordered another biscuit to use it up!!!! If I lived by this place, I would be here multiple times a week. And their prices can’t be beat! Theres a reason why the place looks a little dated…. and it’s not cause they don’t get business, its cause they give you such a good deal onthe food! 4 of us are there for 35$ and I had two meals….. this place is a diamond inthe rough. If I lived around here I would be a solid three hundo by winter! And yes I mean lbs bud. Try this place out, dont let the appearance fool you, this is a true mom n pop diner with quick service and great food. The kids even got dum dums afterwards from the cook herself. Thank you so much for some great eats and better hospitality.
