Great breakfast place! I ordered a SURV breakfast sandwich to go. It was basically a sausage and egg breakfast sandwich with Gouda cheese, with a brioche bun. Came with a side of hash browns. Tasty!

First time coming in since it first opened. Attentive friendly service. I ordered The Scottie Eggs Benedict with extra Smoked Salmon and side of Fresh Fruit. I always get extra salmon everywhere I go. Can’t recommend the dish more! Mouth watering delicious! Cappachino was good also, going with a little vanilla in it next time! I’ll be back soon.

Waited well over 35 minutes for our food to be served. No fancy breakfast dishes just simple eggs over easy amd an omelet. Understood that it was busy but I would have appreciated better customer service from the staff/waitress. Never came by our table to check on drinks/coffee refill. When the waitress finally came by to advise of the kitchen back up we had to ask for our refills. The food came out and honestly was nothing to rave about. The potato hash was greasy. The coffee was watery and acidic. As I was about to eat my second piece of toast I noticed it had green mold on the tip of the bread. Disgusting!

Finally got the chance to go to SunnySide Up and was not disappointed at all. My wife got the Lafayette Platter with over easy eggs, bacon, pancake, and their potato hash, which was yummy. I got the Chicken and Waffles. The best interpretation I have ever had, and that includes my own, as well as Griddle 145 and Miss Jackson’s on Lafayette College’s campus. At first, I was a little reticent about the smoked bacon and apple gravy, but I’m so glad I was wrong. Flavorful, sweet, savory, just a touch smoky. Imagine Sausage gravy with bacon and apples instead. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu.

Best pancakes in the area!!! The fries are also delicious!!! The serving staff seems to be still learning (but they are very polite). We had to wait for silverware, then water….for a few minutes! Another table was waiting for ketchup for awhile…We thoroughly enjoyed our meal—the lattes were expensive for the cup size $6 each for less than a Starbucks grande—so our bill was $$$ I only gave the food 4 stars because my son’s waffle was over cooked, on the thin side (not fluffy and light like their glorious pancakes)…so he was disappointed. He also got a cheeseburger and that was much better… I would recommend the Lafayette platter bc it’s sn all around great value-I personally would sub the hash browns for fries.
