Usually cheap Chinese is still good but it seems like this place just doesn’t care. The egg rolls are filled with cabbage only and no meat and the ratio of meat in their dishes to celery for example is very small. Very cheap but the quality is very low unfortunately. I wish they would try a little harder.

Ended up throwing half of it away i hate throwing food away especially $30 since delivery has a $22 min nefore taxes and tip. I got steamed dumplings seaseme chicken and fried rice and egg rolls. Dumplings had an odd dry meat inside…. seaseme chicken was dried out inside. Fried rice was okay egg rolls was okay. Why is it so hard to find a good chinese restaurant in gainesville….. aint found one yet

Solid American-style Chinese food. My wife and I haven’t had a good go-to Chinese spot for a long time (three years in GA, year in IN, several years in AZ), but Sun Garden is going to fill that niche going forward. The lunch specials are good – definitely recommend the veggie lo mein!

Well during times of COVID I’m even more particular about eating out, which I rarely do anyway. I was extremely unsatisfied with this restaurant. We were the only people that were present but had to sit beside the area where you walk in due to the “air flow.” Then after we sat down he attempted to hand us paper menus that were on another table and visibly used/handled by a few previous people. The food wasn’t great and the plate pictured is teriyaki chicken that came with no pineapple and extra mushrooms, who puts mushrooms in teriyaki chicken?!?! Then the egg roll of the other guest was COLD so they took it off her plate with tongs, put it on a small plate, went into the kitchen and heated it up in the microwave… that is surely not in accordance with COVID protocols. At this time I understand they have an “A” rating but I highly advise against eating here as they are careless about the necessary health/safety protocols that should be in place.

Food was terrible. The meat in my husband’s dish was terrible. It was real stringy and rubbery. He said it was unedible. The egg rolls tasted like they were fried in old oil. The house fried rice smelled bad like it was just old. We won’t go back.

We were the only customers in the restaurant when we showed up. It was clean and we were greeted with a smile. Our food did not take very long to arrive. I liked mine more than my girlfriend liked hers. I noticed both a small stars and stripes flag and their health inspector score of 96. Near the cash register. I will probably go back because of all that and I really like their hot tea.

The staff was very rude. 8pm. Empty dining room.The staff discouraged us to dine in saying they were only open for another hour. Did not bring out correct adequate plates and food in correct order. Sweet tea was almost syrup…asked to replace with a coke and the waitress rolled her eyes. Kitchen staff member was rudely grabbing our plates up while we were still finishing eating. No tips for poor rude service. Places like this need to close permanently if they can’t treat their customers with respect.
