We had a great time celebrating my birthday. The chef put on a show for us while he made our dinner. The food was great and delicious.

After 10+ visits mostly due to proximity, I have decided to go elsewhere with my family. The positive is good quality food. What they tend to forget is hibachi, is much more than the taste of the food. I can summarize my disappointment as follows:

This place has admittedly been closing at 9pm for 2 years but their website still claims that they close at 10pm. When you pile the kids in the car and drive an hour across town just to find out that they have closed and they look at you like YOU are the dumb one. It’s time to find a better restaurant, one that’s professional enough to update their website once every decade at least, and courteous enough to admit that THEY are the problem, not their patrons. This place has declined anyways, we prefer ANYTHING else.

From out of town, tried this place on a whim. Oh my goodness. Best hibachi I have ever eaten. The portions are HUGE, for the price. Our waitress was super attentive, even though the restaurant was packed. The only ding, I would give it would be on the cooking “show” – there wasn’t much flair from the chef. Even though we had a birthday at the table and a young child. I will be back next time I am in the area.

We had an absolute creep of a chef. He asked a girl at the table if she was Japanese because she had “squinty eyes”. He hit on every female at the table, and not in a funny or light hearted way. He also told a man he wasn’t allowed to have his phone on the table. Finally, he spent about 10 minutes mumbling “be a man, don’t cry” repeatedly.

We chose to sit at a table instead of waiting 25 minutes for hibachi grill. It took 20 minutes to get soup and salad. 2 people in my party order a noodle bowl. They received it was finished before I received my order which was steak and shrimp. I had to ask my waitress twice why I didn’t have food. It took 45 minutes to get my plate. The party that came in and waited for the grill was seated and I could hear the chef at their table long before we received service. I don’t recommend this restaurant for sitting at tables.
