Food was ok, left a 6 dollar tip before they made my food and they barely put any meat in my plate!! No I’m not exaggerating!! They don’t give you a chance to talk and fix the issue!! Horrible experience!!

The place looks really sketchy, and looks like it can’t be trusted, but the food was surprisingly good. Cheaper than you would think, and pretty quick. The person taking the order seemed kind of rude, but she was nice after we payed. I had heartburn and a wonky stomach a few hours after though.

Got steak/mushroom and chicken/ mushroom combos. The meat was really good, but ‘fried rice’ could be better. Menu says you can substitute with yakisoba for fee; think, I’ll try that next time. Will def go back.

Hoping to be able to enjoy this place since it’s the closest fast food hibachi to my house. It was okay in flavor, but for the price the amount was highly lacking. I was expecting a full plate and only received half a plate from what it looks like. Carrots are too sweet in my opinion (but this aspect comes down to preference). The service was a little slow. Overall I’ve had better fast food hibachi in town and will likely not return to Sumo Express.

I love this place! I’m definitely a regular there. My only criticism is that sometimes they close randomly, I know there is really no way around it since it’s a family-owned local restaurant. Also, the random closings rarely happen, so overall this is one of my favorite places in town.

This place is great. Definitely prefer their chicken over the steak…they wont cook medium rare steak which is a bummer. I absolutely LOVE their fried rice and those sweet delicious carrots mixed with the yum yum sauce. Its heaven!!
