I had pork katsu curry. The curry sauce is surprisingly good and tastes freshly made. However, the pork cutlets are thin and dry. Overall I don not recommend it for the price. I had only two nights in NYC and wanted to try good Asian cuisines. I am just disappointed.

Small katsu place in St Marks~ Only had to wait 5 mins for a seat on a weekend :-). The service was fast despite only having 1 worker taking orders and serving. Got the katsu curry over rice + curry udon – was pretty good!

The pork katsu with curry is very tasty. The Japanese curry was so delicious and paired very well with the rice and pork. Edamame was good for starting the meal. Staff were attentive and the atmosphere was quaint and cozy

Chanced upon this spot as we were going somewhere else for lunch down the block and decided to opt for it instead. I saw a painting of No-Face from Spirited Away on one of the walls at the corner of my eye and my inner spirit couldn’t help but be excited after seeing that unexpectedly. This place also had something about it being Michelin posted on the door. I was a little confused, but after coming home and researching, I learned that it was 1-star Michelin Guide restaurant, meaning it was rated for high quality cooking.

I came here for lunch to get the pork katsu. You are asked how spicy you like it from a 1-5 rating. I like spicy food so I got a 4. Overall it was very tasty but I hoped it was more spicy. The spiciness is also not mixed evenly too as it got spicier at the bottom so mix well.

Walked in on a whim, and gotta say it’s pretty perfect as far as curry goes. I ordered the one with cheese and minced pork. Flavors were really well balanced and rice was perfectly tender. The side salad actually has purpose and is seasoned well, unlike 99% of side salads out there. Will be back!

Love the place, best curry I ever had. Came here before when they were located somewhere else and price were a bit less pricey. Still the same great taste but I felt like the portions has went down a bit but the price has also gone up as well I believe. Not a place I’ll go daily but definitely a place I’ll go there as a treat once in a while

Tried both the Pork Belly Udon and the Kyu Don and they were good but sort of by the numbers Japanese restaurant food. Simply good Japanese food for a decent price.
