We arrived after 12:30 and Rebecca was our waitress. She was kind and attentive and offered her suggestions on certain dishes. Food was excellent and fun place to be in. Fun place to try.

Well, Domenic was mentioned in several other reviews. There is a reason for that… He is awesome!!! His service, attitude, knowledge and recommendations were perfect. The food was amazing and my wife and I enjoyed our 1st visit to Sugarbacon. Speaking of that, the Sugarbacon appetizer is everything you want it to be. My wife had the Steakhouse salad (steak was cooked perfectly) and I had Domenic’s suggestion, the Short rib. It was pretty good, but the sauce was a little overpowering. But still good and very tender. Sugarbacon is doing some things right, 1 of those is having Domenic there! Great job!!

honestly, not worth the money… this time, maybe an off night, we will try it again. The salmon was overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. The mushrooms were good although very salty. The scallops were a little bit rubbery and the cream corn was too sugary. The macaroni and cheese was okay, the cornbread by itself was good although a bit too sweet. Pretty much everything came out at room temperature or slightly above it.

Tried them for brunch. It was nice sitting outside, so they get two stars for atmosphere and the staff was nice. The food was not fresh… avocado toast did not have real avocado, and the bread was basic white wonder bread. Potatoes were soggy and tasted frozen. For the price, I expected more fresh food and less prepackaged/microwave type.

Really not sure where to begin. There were so many issues with this location. We picked the restaurant because of the great experience we had at the McKinney location. The floor was sticky and had a dirty mop smell. Should have left as soon as we walked in the door. This is always a bad sign. There was only one waiter on the floor when we arrived and he only paid attention to the other tables for the first 15 minutes. We could not even get ice for our warm water sitting on the table for you knows how long. The bartender and manger did nothing to help our waiter. The only positive experience was the appetizers. The short ribs were tough. The mashed potatoes were dry. The hamburger was not cooked and when asked to cook it longer, it came back hard as a hockey puck. French fries were soggy and cold. There so many other choices of restaurants.

Great food and awesome atmosphere. We went for a special murder mystery event they hosted. It’s a user participation murder mystery that takes place live. Each table works together as a team to solve the mystery. So much fun!

Sugarbacon was fabulous! I had the chicken pot pie and old fashion. The pot pie was amazing and the old fashion was spot on. My server Naz was timely, pleasant and friendly. I sat on the patio with my dog-o, he immediately brought her a bowl of water.

Dropped in for Sugarbacon Happy Hour, loved the Dill Deviled Eggs and the plate of sliced Sugarbacon! Bartender was attentive and spot on with her drink knowledge and recipes.

Came in for the soft opening yesterday and enjoyed it. Very friendly staff with top tier service, and food was on point. Definitely loved the tacos!

Celebrating a birthday on a Wednesday. Food was average (shrimp and grits, shortrib sandwich, and Ceaser with Chicken), which is not acceptable for a restaurant in this price tier. Our first time at this venue will be our last; original in McKinney is much better.
