My Word is My Life
Today (04-26-2023), was my first visit. The staff were great! Being very friendly. The restaurant has a nice, older style layout, that I liked.

The waitresses are phenomenal. We had Amy. And Amy was very attentive to our table. All the staff are awesome. Including the people that bust the tables. It is a great place to eat. Food is excellent. I haven’t gotten a bad meal there yet. Big portions and very affordable.

Great, simple southern cooking. French toast was not to my liking but the breakfast platter and the roast beef and mashed potatoes were delicious.

I live within walking distance from this restaurant, so I eat there often. I don’t have a negative thing to say about Sue’s.The facilities are neat and clean, as is the lobby. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, you seet yourself upon arrival, and soon after, a waitress promptly attends to your order. The business is rarely busy to the point of a long wait time. The employees are always kind, respectful of things such as drink refills and the such. I will definitely eat here when I can afford to, not that the food is overpriced, on the contrary, it is my opinion that the prices are very reasonable. 10+ ✨ if I could…

This place is misnamed because it is ALL Country! We came here for breakfast and enjoyed every bit of it. The coffee was strong and coffee-like, like any good diner should have. I had eggs and bacon with biscuits. Finally a place that knows how to cook scrambled eggs well done without them being runny! Bacon was thick and meaty—some of the best I’ve had.

OMG if your nor paying attention you’ll miss some of the best food in the Shively area.

Ordered pork chop dinner with pintos and cornbread. The porkchop was as thin as deli ham. I have never seen one so thin. It was over done and tough. The beans are straight from a can, taste watered down. It was very expensive. The server was not on her game. Never going back.

I wish there were more stars to give! Definitely feels like down home, reminds me of the weekend trips to granny’s house!

If you want that good old comfort food with at home atmosphere. Then this is the place to come. The food great the customers and staff are wonderful down home people and the prices are right. Updated with photos for you to see what I have been telling you about. Yum! Yum!!

Very nice homey atmosphere, very nice and attentive servers who will accommodate special requests (one I saw help an elderly gentleman cut up his pork chop for him), good food in good-sized portions. Excellent value for the money and not too expensive. Will most definitely be back.
