Stopped as I was passing through town. Service was slow but pleasant. Got the super special sub, foot long. Was extremely disappointed with the amount of meat/cheese that was on the sandwich. Meat/ cheese was cut super thin and nearly see-through, maybe half the meat you get on a subway. For 20 dollars, l left very disappointed and hungry.

Not horrible!! But food has changed I came here about 3 years ago it was the best sandwich I ever had the place was nice and clean . came back three years later the quality of the food has change the meat is thin as tissue paper they really need to update and clean the restaurant more so clean there was a paintbrush on the sandwich station someone pocketbook laying on the sandwich station the walls are dirty no one had on a hairnet on cashier goes from cutting meat to touching money ask if she could change glove she did not a bad place just need a little TLC

Although I had passed by this place when I used to go to school in this city countless times, it wasn’t till I was in my mid-20s when I finally got around to trying out their food. Nice theme in the interior, especially the pictures of the owner’s ancestors & local sports teams of the past. But the moment I walk up to give my order, I saw flies; a very concerning amount of them. Then, as I waited in line to get my food, I look through the kitchen doorframe to see an employee chopping tomatoes without gloves nor hairnet… not a good site even for a health inspector. The sub was good, but the place & its employees need a bit of a facelift.

For years I’ve enjoyed eating @Substation, but the last two times I’ve come in there, this tall black lady is very rude, loud, and has a very nasty attitude! My first encounter with her was around Easter, and she was in there trash talking one of the employees. And the young man was very respectful despite her nastiness towards him. She better be careful, cause she don’t know who’s related to who! So, tonight my family and I said we wanted a sub but hoped she wasn’t there, but she was! It was around 7/7:30. She took our order and my husband told her he didn’t want ham on his salad just turkey. When it was brought to her attention she grabbed the rolled up meat n cheese, took the ham off n literally threw the couple of pieces of turkey! She need to know that respect and manners will get you far! N its a shame that I’m much younger than her n know this! To management… good help is hard to find, but she ain’t it!

We’ve lived in Manning for 6 years and only recently discovered this amazing hidden gem! Friendly service, fresh and super tasty subs and salads, nestled inside a great space full of historical photos, furniture, and more. From now on, we will skip Subway and order here instead! Huge difference for not all that much more money.
