I literally get so happy when I come here. I still call it blimpie bc the sandwiches are still the same and as good as ever. I did give the atmosphere 4 stars and not 5 because i did see a tiny bug about to crawl on my sandwich but aside from that I always come here and get great service.

Moved to Bayonne last spring, have been to Sub Base a few times and their sub sandwiches are really good. Good amount of meat and extras all the time. I pay cash to avoid the surcharge for using a credit card. I didn’t know there was a Blimpie’s there previously so can’t attest to how they were BUT Sub Base is good. Macaroni salad is good enough, not too fond of the slaw or potato salad, just a bit too bland (thus the 4 stars and not 5). But I do recommend them if you’re looking for a good hearty sub sammie.

Don’t listen to the guy below. He doesn’t know what he is talking about. It was a long wait for our sandwiches, but they stuck to their roots. We enjoyed it, but my sandwich could have had a little more vinegar. They still use Thuman’s brand, which is why they have their own name. Blimpie wanted to cheap out by going with a cheaper brand of meats, and they weren’t having it. Sub Base stuck to what they know and it’s a good thing.

I got a pastrami sandwich, it should be 15$ , the lady charged me 17.68 because I paid credit. Even for 15 dollars, the amount of meat was not much. Definitely I am not going back me or any of my family member
