Tried it for the first time, the second you walk in and even from the street the smell is amazing!! The staff was also extremely friendly and pleasant. I got the BBQ Brisket sandwich Special for lunch with coleslaw on the side. Sandwhich came out quickly, the brisket was delicious. The bark was perfect. The sauce which was on the side was amazing and putting the Cole slaw on it as well made it even better. Portion size was perfect for myself, the cornbread was authentic and the seating area in the back was very nice. Definitely recommend trying this place if your in the mood for BBQ!

We visited the Glen Cove area for an event and found this gem of a place. I must note, there really isn’t a place to sit except for a small counter with 3 or 4 seats, so it is mainly take out. But we happily ate in our car. The brisket here was amazing, so juicy and tender. The ribs were really good. They didn’t fall off the bone, which is the way I like them since I like to gnaw on ribs but they weren’t tough either. The sage sausage had great flavor but wasn’t as smokey as what the husband was hoping for, which is fine by me. The jalapeño cornbread was so good, we went back to buy some more for home. We live 40 minutes away from the restaurant but we would definitely go back again just for the brisket and cornbread alone.

This place is PERFECT. Food is EXCELLENT. The space is cozy and adorable. We are coming again but with friends next time! The beans and garlic string beans are out of this world tasty. The BBQ just like down south. I’m so happy this is near my house.

Read a lot about this place and waited over a year to try it. It’s okay definitely good barbecue. But not the best I’ve had. Not even the best I’ve had on Long Island. It was a good experience but not one I go out of my way to drive back to.

Great little BBQ spot. We ordered Brisket, Ribs, a 1/2 Chicken, Corn Bread and Garlic String Beans. Everything was delicious- proper smoke, seasoning and tenderness. The chicken was the only less than satisfying dish. The sauce was a bit too ketchup centric and sugary and the meat was a bit rubbery.

Competition quality bbq. The brisket was literally unwrapped from the warmer in front of me. Tender and soft, great peppery flavor gives me little beads of sweat. Perfect amount of heat. The bbq sauce I could drink from a cup, peppery like the brisket but with a red or Cheyenne pepper heat to it also. Thick viscosity as if it were almost chucky. Subtle Apricot or apple sweetness to it for balance. The chorizo was a great size, had a nice snap to it. Fatty (as it should be, it is chorizo) but not chewy/good consistancy with really good flavor. This place has got something going, doing smokehouse bbq right. Cant wait to go back. Cheers!
