I went here for dinner. The service here is great! Our waitress was fun, quick and positive. The gizzards for starters was fresh and flavorful. (I may actually like theirs better than Go Chicken Go) We also had chicken bites for starters. That was very flavorful as well. Of course, we didn’t finish both. They did make a good lunch for the next day.

I usually visit the Stroud’s North of the river. I was driving by and thought I’d just stop in and have dinner. Decided to try the new BBQ chicken bites which were delicious. I got my spicy BBQ sauce on the side. I like these new chicken bites cuz they’re not more breading than chicken. A simple breading like there chicken dinners. I mostly come here for the gizzards which are the best in Kansas City area. We did try the other spicy chicken bites they have on accident but I wouldn’t suggest them unless you like Cajun food. Everything else was great

I really didn’t care for this place. The food was extremely mediocre. Everything was bland and needed salt. The burger was unremarkable, but the fries were soggy with oil and the fried chicken was greasy and flavorless. The green beans were identical to the ones my grandma used to pour out of a can. The chicken livers were alright, but the gizzards were just awful, like giant rubber baseballs. Last point of annoyance: my friend’s chicken came out to the table immediately, while I sat and waited 10 minutes for my mid-rare burger and terrible fries to cook.

I’m now a believer of pan fried chicken. This was a first and I’m very glad I finally went to Stroud’s. The grease in the fried chicken was very tasteful and the cinnamon rolls were delicious as well. The wait was a little long, but that’s just fine, I didn’t know what to expect. Very Disappointed in last Visit. Chicken was Bland. Fries were undercooked. Mash potatoes were basic. Our Waitress had a bad attitude. I’ve been to Strouds many times and this experience will be my family’s last 🙁

A meal would have been way too much for me on my own, but I loved that they had the option of splitting a meal and adding on a couple extra sides. The fries didn’t impress me but I enjoyed everything else I tried.

I eat a LOT of chicken and run a Chicken review page, and this place is something special. I got the tenders half spicy half mild and had some of my friends’ chicken fried chicken and a breast, and every last bite of chicken was out of this world. The spice was just enough to get you sweating and the mild was still seasoned excellently, the cinnamon roll was LIFE CHANGING, one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Highly anticipating my next visit back to Strouds and I highly recommend it.

Large portions and family style sides. Chicken fried steak was good but feel it was a tad on the bland side. Cinnamon rolls for dessert were excellent and the chicken noodle soup had nice large chunks of chicken in it.

My main reason for going here was the chicken, but the every other thing I got was SO good. Starting with their own beer brewed specifically for them, Chicken Choker was a phenomenal malty beer that was made even easier to drink with a hefty piece of chicken. The homemade chicken noodle soup was nothing to scoff at, and the sides of gravy and potatoes were tasty to the level of love. The icing on the cake was their cinnamon buns that you get at the end or during your meal (I got it after) that just melt in your mouth. What a great place to celebrate a birthday!
