I had family in town for a funeral, so had to order something for 10+ people. I placed my order the weekend before to make sure they could accommodate my large quantity. Communication and service was spot on. Better yet, everyone RAVED about the food. It came in the sous vide bags with aluminum serving trays so it would stay hot, moist, and fresh for serving time. Absolutely a home run with the group and ease of ordering, picking up, serving, and pleasing a large number of people. The food was so moist and not dried out like most BBQ Togo. The brisket literally melts in your mouth. Plus, the owners are the sweetest, funnest people. I can’t recommend them enough.

I ordered from Strouderosa BBQ yesterday, for a 10-person birthday party. Ordered brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and sausage, as well as several sides (green beans, mac and cheese , potato salad and beans). Everything was excellent (first hand, except for the beans….I’m told those were good too). The best BBQ I’ve had in a long time!! The fact that Matt and Tricia were both very helpful, and they pulled together the order on fairly short notice, means I’ll definitely be back. If you live in the Lake Highlands area you should give them a try!

Food’s just as delicious as their at-home catering. Had the Chopped Brisket sandwich and some ribs. Was pleasantly surprised by the green beans and our daughter scarfed down the Mac n cheese. So happy they opened a storefront.

So happy to have a good barbecue place in Lake Highlands! We stopped by a few weekends ago for some takeout. The brisket, mac, and beans were all solid, but the pulled pork and jalapeno creamed corn were especially good! They were generous with the sauce, pickles, and bread they gave us with the order. We’ll definitely be back soon.

I went here recently, and the food was absolutely delicious and our waiter was very friendly and enthusiastic! The only problem was, when our waiter went into the back, we could hear someone loudly reprimanding him and using harsh language. He returned to our table visibly distressed. If only they treated their waiters better maybe they would get 5 stars from me.

Stopped in here today to pick up a brisket sandwich which was excellent. It was lean, tender brisket with nice color and great flavor on a stout bun that held up to the large portion of meat. Fixin’s on the side were thick-cut pickles, pickled onions, jalapenos and two sauces, one sweet, one spicy. All worthy of another visit!
