Had such a great first visit, I returned the next day with the family for dinner. Great little joint hosting BIG taco flavors. Parking is close and they will validate up to 2 hours! Dining room seating is available for both small and larger parties. The ordering line at one point was out the front door…but don’t let that stop you!!! The staff handled it well and customers were chowing on some amazing tacos before too long.

So we had a large group of about 20 and the service was fast and on point the other day. Just know that these are gourmet tacos and not your regular tex mex food. Some of the tacos have very hot sauces and you should ask before just stepping up and ordering something without asking the question. Several in the group got tacos they couldn’t eat because of the sauces they use on them. I enjoyed my gyro bowl and the only thing I would have liked to have seen is just about 2 ounces more of meat. However it may have been short on the meat but not on the really great flavor. As for the restaurant it was very clean and had really cool decorations with the container trailers for seating and the bar. I would most likely go back again and try some other bowl or gourmet tacos the next time around. I gave it four stars because half of the group was not really happy with their food but I was. Just remember these are not traditional tacos when ordering.

Came here with my dad and husband and I was absolutely floored. It’s about time Monroe gets some great food! I ordered the coconut shrimp, buffalo chicken, and the San Antonio. The coconut shrimp was heaven on earth. A wonderful combination of flavors and the sauce wasn’t too sweet. The Buffalo chicken was my next favorite. The crunch of the celery was a pleasant surprise and balanced the heat from the Buffalo sauce. The San Antonio had excellent flavor, but the crispy onions were too tough for me. My husband and dad ordered OG steak tacos and weren’t impressed, which doesn’t surprise me because it’s just meat and onion and cilantro (boring). Come here for the unique flavors and you won’t be disappointed!

Strange Taco Bar doing it right. Restaurant is fun and full of good vibes. Staff is friendly. Service is fast and efficient. Simple menu that is straightforward – it’s all about the Taco. Food is fresh and full of flavor. Definitely will be back.

Great tacos! I had the cheeseburger taco and the San Antonio taco, both tasty and quite different from the usual taco fare at other restaurants. Service was friendly, quick, and accurate. Prices were reasonable. I’ll be back to try other menu items!

Ordered pickup for lunch. Tried the Al pastor, fried mahi, and San Antonio tacos. I’ve had better al pastor tacos, but the other two were phenomenal. So delicious! Plus pickup was very easy: I ordered & paid online, and just had to go in to get my order. I will definitely be back, hopefully to dine in next time.

Kaylee was wonderful. I currently am using a Walker from a broken leg, she walked away from what she was doing to come and open the bathroom door for me. She was friendly and attentive with bringing our food.

The tacos are delicious!!!! My faves so far are the fried green tomato, shrimp cajun, & cheeseburger taco. First time trying it out was yesterday and I had to come back today to try the other flavors. The atmosphere is nice and there’s also a bar inside. This taco spot was much needed in Monroe!

The tacos here are really good. One word of advice, if you get chips and salsa, just get one for the table, they give you a lot, and they are one of the few places that give you a decent amount of salsa. Some things are a little spicier than you might expect. My wife got the coconut shrimp Taco, and it was pretty warm on the tongue. One knock, was the El Pastor Taco was not that great. Maybe we’ve just had too much good of that meat. Other than that everything was good and tasty.

I have been here twice. I love the cilantro lime rice and I have tried several tacos and they are all tasty.
