This was an unplanned stop as we drove north on I95. We had no idea how amazing this restaurant would be. For starters, at 1230 on a Sunday, this place was crowded with some of the nicest, most polite people we’ve met in a long time. As we stood in the queue, complete strangers just started talking to us.

We had a wonderful 1st experience eating here. The food was good. Hubby had fried chicken, green beans & mash potatoes w/gravy, my boy had fried chicken strips w/fries and I had fried fish and shrimp side collard greens & cabbage. All meals came with hush puppies. What made the experience so great was the great customer service we received. The employees was the most respectful and friendly folks we have met. ❤

Fantastic Carolina BBQ right off the interstate with fair prices and fast service. Owners go full tilt promoting Christianity (10 Commandments on display in drive thru queue) so if this offends you just avert your eyes and patron this place anyway (you won’t be disappointed).

I’ve had NC BBQ before, however, this is the first time I have had the vinegar based sauce included already on the pulled pork. I have to say that I did not like this. It tasted like straight white vinegar and meat!!! No hint of spice or sugar. Next time we will pass on Stormin Norman’s.
