Must try the crab bisque! So good! Drinks are really well made! I got the blackened shrimp salad, so delicious! My boyfriend got the very large steak and he loved it! Bit on the more pricy side, but if you want fresh and delicious food give it a shot! Nice date night

Met friends for a Saturday dinner. Nice place, has a 70’s vibe, good food. 2 of us Had the prime rib it was cooked well and taste great. One had chicken parm, the other had the Haddock. All of the food was prepared and served well. It is a bar so they have a good selection of beers and drinks.

Here is my experience at Stoppers. Founded in the 1980s and nothing changed except the prices. The smell when you walk in is kind of like a place where someone smoked in there the other day plus seafood. Everything has that old look and is tacky/sticky to the touch. They don’t have many beverage options and it would be nice to offer sparkling water or even club soda, but the water tasted ok. The food, I felt was mediocre. It wasn’t too bad but wasn’t too good either. Things were really not seasoned at all and could have used more flavor. Overall, I am surprised how packed it is every weekend which is why we decided to try it. I would say the value was so/so. For the money, there are way better restaurants in the area.

JP, the barkeeper, was especially pleasant. The food arrived earlier then expected… The coconut shrimp was very good! I get like John Candy in the Great Outdoors movie when considering my choice to dine on the 1.5 pound steak. Convenient location for a stop while leaving town…for sure.

What a disappointment! It’s not a good sign if you have to butterfly a filet to cook it to medium well. None of our steaks were seasoned at all; first rule of cooking – season your food! Baked potatoes were really small and it took a couple minutes to open all of our condiments for them. Caesar salad wasn’t even good, romaine was cut way too large and again, had to open our own dressings.

The food was cooked perfectly & delicious. The only complaint we had was the hamburger rolls. It seems a shame to put such a great burger, crab imperial & hollandaise sauce on a tiny cheap roll. The stuffed lobster was amazing. Definitely returning here

Well the place was decorated cool. The staff was friendly. The stuffed mushrooms were good. The coconut shrimp was good. However the sirloin tips were kinda bland, definitely needed steak sauce.. The loaded potato was not only kinda small but not very loaded. Although it was nice to give me a small salad, it only consisted of a little romaine, 1slice of tomato and 5 croutons. I should have just gotten the ceaser. It was also pretty dead. All in all it was cool.

My first visit after living in Exeter for 24 years. Very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Ive been missing out!!! Bartender and severs flexible and happy to accommodate. My crab cakes were delicious. (No krab and no filler) I highly recommend the glazed carrots and apples for side. Yum!

Staff was nice and great. I got the sea scallops with baked potato and rice all was very good. Wife got crab stuffed haddock and it was amazing. We also got the calamari and very delicious crab bisque.
