I don’t do reviews much, but this was some of the best BBQ I’ve had in a hot minute. Burnt ends that didn’t taste like they were microwaved straight out of a freezer. All dry rubbed meat that wasn’t over-sauced. Will return to test more.

This is quite the quaint barbecue joint! Great food!! Would recommend everything we ate, but especially the burnt ends and St. Louis style ribs. Really good cheesy hash browns too! Quite a few good options to choose from. The decor is very realistic rustic, creating a very neat atmosphere. The service was efficient and friendly. I kind of hope I end up back in Peru soon so I can get a chance to eat here again!

We have been here for takeout through the pandemic and have always enjoyed it today we were able to order and eat inside. The restaurant was very clean and well kept. It was handicap accessible which I appreciate. The restrooms were very clean and also accessible. You order at the counter then have a seat they then bring your food to you. The bar had multiple drink specials so we ordered a Lemon Shakeup and it was very tasty. The service was very friendly, helpful and efficient. We ordered ribs, chicken, burnt ends, pastrami sandwich, mac n cheese, and baked beans it was all very good. They have 4 sauces in squeeze bottles on each table which made it nice to try them out on the different foods. The nonalcoholic beverages were self serve Coke products. We had quite a bit of food leftover to take home to be enjoyed another day. I would not hesitate to return to this place.

I saw all the great reviews, so we stopped by to try the place for lunch while traveling. It was Excellent! We tried pulled pork and pulled chicken. Both were tasty. We ordered the cheesy hash browns and the staff said the Mac & Cheese was also a favorite, so we ordered this also. The sides were simply tremendous. I mean, out of this world good. The staff were helpful and nice. The restaurant itself was charming. They have picnic tables out front with shade umbrellas also. I highly recommend Stone Jug. One of the best experiences on an unknown restaurant I have had.

Just me and my lovey out on the prowl Looking for some new and good eats… With some help from the locals We decided on stone jug. I myself had The Choice of 2 meats I picked Hot sausage and of course the brisket… The sausage was great a little hot for my liking but still very good. The brisket I would give a 7 of 10, Having had brisket from other places. Don’t get me wrong it was great but I’ve had better.. There is a place in this town called Haze That sells some pretty mean (good) barbecue. I also had the Mac and cheese which was great!! My wife had the burnt ends and cheesy hash Browns both were delicious! Place was very clean as well as the bathroom’s, service was good too. I thought the price was fair $60ish. I also had a Moscow mule which was amazing! Although they did not have grey goose for my wife, she had kettle one and cranberry juice, that was made perfect! They have I think 4 barbecue sauces made in house… Our favorite was the Alabama white, And their signature sauce. Thank you stone jug barbecue for the great eating experience. You made us feel welcome.
