They begin by bringing you cornbread, which is gluten free and good tasting. We got the Dill Chill cocktail. I got some oysters to start, $5 each. I also got tuna tartare and my friend got salmon. We shared asparagus and carrots. Some of the carrots were burnt but everything else tasted good.

We had a lovely date night at Stoic & Genuine. Everything about it was top-notch and I definitely look forward to going back again sometime. The inside of the restaurant is much smaller than I expected, but I didn’t realize they actually have quite an expansive outdoor area. If we had known the weather would be so perfect, we would have made reservations to sit outside. The inside is lovely, but the tables are very close together. We felt that we got to be a part of 3 experiences – our own date night, the awkward couple’s first date on our right, and the boisterous family celebration on our left. Both tables were empty for the remaining 20 minutes of our meal, so we finally got to have some conversation without distractions. Still enjoyed the whole experience though!

This place used to be my go to for oysters, we were going around Denver today on an oyster tour of Denver and we’re hoping for a good experience at one of our go to spots. At $5 an oyster we generally expect a high quality oyster, what we were served was less than expected from a $1 oyster spot. The brine was yellow and opaque, after raising the concern to the server we had the manager come out, they apologized and made it right, following that the general manager came out and assured us they were an oyster expert and that we were in the wrong, and then asked us “so what do you want me to do?” We promptly paid the bill and left, it’s no wonder this place is empty these days. Save yourself a poor experience and go to Ocean grill up the street, far superior quality and no bad attitude from the GM (for the record this is the first item from a restaurant I have sent back in over 20 years, I’m not a complainer but I was genuinely concerned about getting sick)

Great place to people watch and have a drink. I dined off the happy hour menu. Waitress who was pretty much nonexistent- when appeared- suggested the Surimi Fish sticks with wasabi tobiko aioli $8.50, they were barely a step up from the frozen ones I remembered eating as a kid. Wouldn’t recommend. The spicy pear granita though was really nice- $8- had 2.

I was suspicious of the restaurants attached to Union Station, but I was completely wrong. Stoic and Genuine had super fresh seafood, delicious drinks and very friendly staff. I would recommend this to anyone!

Located in Union Station building, Lodo Denver. Hard to find this restaurant, but great place to enjoy fresh seafood. We ordered the seafood tower, which included a sampler of oysters, crab, and shrimp. Seafood was very fresh and loved the sauces! I recommend their deviled eggs, which includes (4) pieces and perfectly seasoned.

My wife and I dropped in for a visit during Denver restaurant week and had a fantastic meal! We especially loved the octopus and the calamari for appetizers! We would definitely come back for a visit!

A+ very very good! I just happened to stop in without doing much research and was so pleasantly surprised by how good everything was from the cocktails to the food. The tuna tartare was absolutely

We had the salmon dip appetizer. And although the portion was rather small for three of us to share, it was delicious!

The food was absolutely delicious! The ambiance and service unfortunately were lacking. We were seated at a table for an 8:45 reservation (on a Saturday) and heard our server making a comment to another server asking if we were walk-ins. Five min after seating, the same server greets our table and asks if we know what we food we want to order, without even asking for a drink order.
