This is supposed to be the best Chinese restaurant in the area. I will disagree this CANNOT BE CHICKEN SESAME. This DID NOT TASTE LIKE CHICKEN! Not sure what they are serving. Chicken wings were good and crispy. The wings had hairs on them had to pluck them out.

The place looked like a warehouse with the half “dining room” full of boxes. The sweet and sour chicken I ordered was basically fried dough and was inedible. It took about five minutes to get a sweet tea.

Ordered pepper steak and chicken fried rice. Both were bland and unseasoned. The pepper and onions were cut in large chunks and barely touched in the pepper steak, the meat was cooked but almost mushy. The chicken fried rice had no onion or egg in it; scant amount of peas and carrot. It was edible but both dishes lacked taste.

Stir King has been our dedicated Chinese takeout spot in Mebane for over 7 years. The inside of the restaurant is a bit of a dive but the food is consistently great. Our go to meals are beef and broccoli and beef lo mein but we’ve yet to try something we don’t like. Food is always prepared quickly and made with care.
