Long drive from home for a German restaurant. Picked a lousy weather night…

Had an amazing prime rib!!! The staff was super friendly and I ate the entire prime rib despite the giant size purely because of how tender and delicious it was. Will definitely be back! Also the house dressing at the salad bar was the best I have ever had.

Delicious meal with friends and family. Highly recommend! I had the Broiled shrimp and scallops Casino and it was a little slice of seafood heaven. Others had Chicken French, Chicken wings, Chicken Parm and a Rack of Ribs. Also recommend the Barley soup

My girlfriend and I stopped randomly at this restaurant because I wanted to show her German food since I am born and raised in Germany. I was surprised by how authentic the food was. I personally think that especially the Bratwurst and Sauerkraut would compare extremely well to its German competition and might be outstanding. (Sauerkraut was better than my grandma’s)

The Steger House is a very well established restaurant located in Sodus Point, NY. Reservations are strongly recommended but walk ins are welcome as well. The dining areas are spacious with lots of seating and everything was really clean. The menu is somewhat limited but you will find some delicious meals and entrees and appetizers. They serve coke products and wine and other alcoholic beverages as well. They have a nice little soup and salad bar that comes with your meal and you won’t leave hungry. The pricing is pricey but average for the point and other local restaurants. I didn’t leave without spending 100 dollars for 2 adults and one child. Overall we had a nice dinner and the servers were wonderful. You gotta try it!

We were early but did not have reservations which they seem to require. By the time we left I understand why, the restaurant and bar was packed. I had never ordered their sauerbraten before so our waitress, Bonnie, brought me a sample, which was excellent. My husband had their regular size prime rib and was not able to finish it. He said it was one of best he’s ever had . The salad bar had a large variety and everything was fresh and very appealing . Service was excellent. We will be back, with reservations!

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after visiting Sodus point. decided to order the prime rib, even though my wife and I were only going to get the salad bar. it was absolutely fabulous. One of very few restaurants that can blacken meat the way I like it. cheers to Bonnie for telling me to get it
