This was the worst experience I have ever had at a fast food restaurant. I went through the drive-thru, it took 17 minutes to get through the line, and there was only 1 car in front of me. I then got the wrong food, and it looked absolutely terrible. Will not being going back.

Absolutely AWFUL.. 20 min drive thru wait time. Order was wrong. Burgers where plain. Fries cold. Service TRASH.. took our money and had us sittn out there for 20 min smh.. somebody needs to be held accountable regardless what time it is. We came thru about 130am. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Service is extremely slow. I go here once every 6 months or so to see if things have changed because I love Steak n Shake, I usually end up leaving 10 minutes after I’m seated, and still haven’t gotten my drink order taken. There’s usually 3 or 4 tables when this happens, and it blows my mind how lazy the wait staff are, and how the management doesn’t take charge.

I suggest only going to this steak N shake during breakfast and early lunch. Still not the best during those hours, but at least the staff is very helpful and friendly. Any other time, it’s at if you are interrupting them from something more important. You’ll be in the drive through for at least 20 minutes, which they have put up a sign that says this is because they make all the food to order. This would be fine if the got my order correct.

I have made a few late night runs here and the food is usually pretty good. The service tends to be a bit slow, but I imagine that is due to them making the food fresh since I go when it usually isn’t very busy. Overall it is a pretty good place to eat. Especially if you are looking for a drive through that is open late.

There were three groups of diners and three waitresses. Our waitress left after we ordered to talk on the phone and our food sat out for a good 10 minutes while the other waitresses talked. No drink refill even offered the whole time. Eventually another waitress brought our food and asked that we tip her instead. She didn’t show up again after dropping of the food. I felt like I was taking crazy pills because everyone was just blatantly ignoring the customers.

I feel like no matter which one you go to these days, steak n shake is on the decline, at least with regards to customer service. The wait times are longer to be seated, getting anyone to bring you water or take your order is slow and the wait to check out is awful. The food is hit and miss. A few years ago I would have jumped at an opportunity to go there but these days we will choose other restaurants because of the wait time and typically how we’re treated by staff consistently.

I’m giving 5 stars because I’m sure others will give one or none. Wednesday night this store was very understaffed. They had a manager one cook and one waitress, three employees on the Wednesday night b4 Thanksgiving…really? They were doing their best and I give them credit. I hope someone changes the schedule and adds people to help, they were busy as Steak n Shake is.
