the breakfast wasn’t very good compared to other times that I visited I don’t know what changed because this was one of my favorite burger places. Oh, this was a first time for us eating breakfast.

My lunch date was late and had to leave quickly after arriving. The server accommodated us, both in service and in attitude. Since I had our meal at the counter I was able to observe the manager catch up the orders in very efficient fashion, cooking more and in greatly reduced time. Amazing. Food was great tasting, though I think that there should have been better access to napkins. Good food, good servers, good management-I left my phone at the counter, and it followed me to the door-great job Steak ‘n Shake!

Food is good. Customer service is good. The only thing i believe they could work on, is how long it takes to acknowledge a customer and how long I waited for a salad. I don’t know if I am the only one ,but so far I have been there 3 times. All three times it took at least 5 min before anyone acknowledged me. 5 min may not seem like a long time but when you are on your lunch break and you only have so long, well it matters. 15 min to get a salad is a little ridiculous. Total of 20 min to get a salad to go. But I will be back. Once I was acknowledged the staff was very friendly. However I did almost walk out before someone finally spoke to me. I am in customer service myself . I speak to everyone I walk by ,to make sure they feel comfortable and welcome.

The food was great! My milkshake was perfect! There was a good bit of waiting but they were busy so that was expected. The only problem I had was our server, every single thing we ordered was wrong. She didn’t enter it in correctly. Im sure she was tired but, at least try. I’ll go back and just cross my fingers that I don’t get the same server.

When I walked in the waitress was nice, good personality and took my order right away, I ordered a chocolate milkshake which was fabulous. The garlic burger and fries was delicious. The day shift definitely knows how to make a milkshake. The night shift does not know how to make a milkshake. When I got that one before I left it was way thin, runny, like most places make. So get your milkshakes before 5:00 change of shift.

We won’t be back. The floor was dirty and slippery, seen several people almost fall. The food took forever to get and half of it wasn’t right. The fries were cooked to a crisp. The waitress never offered a refill. I’m sure we won’t be back………

As far as I’m concerned steak and shake is better than your average hamburger and if you want a specialty hamburger it’s worth the extra price but the one thing you get at steak and shake that you do not get at McDonald’s or Wendy’s or anything like that is good service. At least that was my experience. it’s always sometimes easier to be able to go and sit down at a table and just be served without having to stand up and wait for your meal to come to the counter. sometimes you just feel like going in and sitting down and telling someone what you want and have them bring it to the table. and sometimes that’s worth a little extra cost especially if you had a long hard day at work or at home.

My wife and I were so pleased with our milkshakes this Friday night and customer service was awesome. Everyone was so friendly. Restaurant is gorgeous. It feels like a real diner. Best milkshakes in town.

Much better experience the second time around. Everything was quick. Nice and hot. Burger was perfectly seasoned. Could have used a few more fries on my plate. Maybe they’re finally starting to get the hang of it.
