I’ve been going to States Martinez since they opened but it has been a while since my last visit. Pleasantly surprised to see they’ve expanded across the bridge and taken over the old ‘farm + flour’ spot. Dark mocha is a mildly sweet, slightly bitter deliciousness! Apple coffee cake is mildly spiced and has the perfect crumb. The cranberry ricotta toast is on thick country style bread and very good. Love the wood interior (has a barn like feel) with lots of tables/seating areas and seating outside. Thanks for a lovely coffee break.

Terrible customer service! Two men and one woman were on shift. I went in with my four children to get breakfast. Ordered our food that totaled $58.00. I was paying cash and they refused to accept my $50.00. (I was paying with a $50 and $20)

Beautiful little Bread and Coffee shop! Was passing thru took a detour into Benicia CA and this place was a lucky winner for a quick coffee stop and to recharge. The smell of fresh bread and coffee roasting was celestial! Breads were/looked FRESH and Uber delicious; wish I had room to have tasted and tried some! the coffee is excellent, they roast it themselves and have been doing for years. will definitely come back to this laid back beach town and recommend the coffee shop to others! Did I say the coffee was excellent it sure was!!

States is 100% legit. This historic building is so cute and located on an idyllic street in downtown Benicia. Great coffee and loved my maple donut. Will try to get up here sooner next time to catch some more variety. Nonetheless. Taylor was a DOLL and made my visit so special. Thanks for taking such good care of me. The world needs more Taylors, actually…it would be a sweeter place for sure.

Nice modern interior design. Friendly staff. Decent bakery goods and drinks. Most stuff could taste better but they’re still good. Lovely packaging, I like their compostable cups. They’re still working on the indoor dining.

Such a quaint coffee shop! Clean and simple decor. The items available for purchase is ADORABLE, like the Benicia tote bag. I got a honey oat-milk latte. Delicious!

Loved it! We enjoyed Homestead Avocado on Country Bread and Brei I had it on Country toast so yummy. Also enjoyed a Vanilla Latte which paired nicely. Will definitely go back.

Friendly staff, long hours, comfortable space with indoor and outdoor seating, and good bevs as far as the matcha latte with oak milk that I tried. I’m fine with oat milk in a coffee latte, but I don’t think it brings out the matcha flavor nearly as well as dairy milk, but that’s not the fault of this place, and the drink was ready quickly and the proportions were good, including my request for light ice. They make all of their own baked goods, except for the donuts from Donut Plant.

The avocado feta toast on fresh sourdough was great. Best paired with an iced Banaynay Carmelizer from Dutch Bros Coffee.

Such a cute coffee shop. All of the food looked delicious but we got a maple donut and cashew butter bread, both are worth going back for. I got an earl grey latte and I loved it. I would absolutely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
