EXCEPTIONAL finer dining in downtown Boise. I had read about this place for a while and decided to try it. The service was some of the best in the city. The cocktails were inventive while traditionally inspired and done incredibly well. The cocktails were great, that electric dust was a really wild aspect to the one I ordered. My airline chicken was an excellent main course, but the crispy fish my friend had was even better. My other friend had the duck, which was some of the most flavorful I’ve had in a while. The real star of the show for me was some of the starters I ordered. The steak tartare is OUT OF THIS WORLD well done. I order this dish in a lot of places (where it’s offered) and have had it in probably 20 plus cities around the country over the years. This may have been my actual favorite. I would literally go back just for that one item. The other opener was the lobster bisque, which was done in a puff pastry crust, which is the kind of extra touch that I think too many places don’t bother with. The bisque was flavorful and not too heavy, so it is an appropriate option if you are worried it may be too heavy before dinner. Anyway, suffice it to say I will return. I give many positive reviews, but this place is a true gem in Boise food scene. The prices are quite fair for this quality of a dining experience.

This was our first time visiting Stardust. The restaurant is super cute. Very inviting. It has indoor and outdoor seating. But the best thing about Stardust is Tim. He was simply amazing!!! We were on a girls birthday weekend, he made the morning. He made us all laugh. He’s very knowledgeable about the drink menu as well as the menu in general. He has great recommendations. He has an excellent attitude. Right now, it’s really hard to find customer service, and almost impossible to find outstanding customer service, let me tell you Tim has been the best I’ve ever had in downtown Boise. We tried to take him with us for the day’s excursions but he told us he had to work a double so he couldn’t make it. Do yourself a favor and stop in and say hi to Tim. Grab a drink, I ordered a bloody Mary friends ordered a bloody Maria, a mama mango Moscato and a big bang, all of them were outstanding!! We had the dates wrapped in bacon along with several dishes, all of them outstanding!! Do yourself a favor, stop in and enjoy!!!

This was our second visit to Stardust just this weekend! Over our last few visits we had amazing food and even better service each time! Although this is the only food photo I remembered to take, the items not pictured that we 10/10 would order again include the shrimp cocktail, the fondue appetizer, the Caesar salad, the watermelon burrata salad and the surf and turf! Their craft cocktails are also amazing and so fun with glitter or some sort of beautiful garnish. We can’t wait to go again!!

We went for their grand unveiling. Everything was phenomenal. We started with grilled scallops and a shrimp cocktail. The scallops were tender with a nice crust on them. The shrimp were great. However, the cocktail sauce was out of this world, hands down the best we had ever had. We both had the Ceasar salad, which again was really good, but the use whole hearts of romaine, which aren’t my favorite but not a big deal. For the main course we both had the surf and turf. The filets were perfectly, and I really enjoyed the medical butter they top it with. The lobster was also very tender and flavorful. The only downside was service was a little slow, but that can probably be attributed to the grand unveiling. Absolutely loved it here, and we will be back.

The food was excellent, at our table we had the beef wellington, cheese souflee, French onion soup, and lobster bisque. Our server was very attentive. My only complaint is we were seated in the main dining area and it was very loud, they could benefit from some noise dampening. The bar area seemed to be a much better environment.

Ok so let me start by saying we are foodies, who took our foodie friends to try this place tonight. It is extremely hard to impress people who try the best restaurants just for fun. It’s even harder to become memorable. Tonight we had some of the most incredible food (without being weird) appropriately priced for quality and portions. Service was wonderful and on point without being uptight. We tried 4 different appetizers, all were incredible, 2 soups, and 4 different entrees. Out of the 10 dishes we were in love with 8 of them. Drinks were absolutely perfect ( our other foodies also own a bar) and the wine was perfectly paired (go with the rose for just about everything on the menu). We will be back and are excited to try more of the menu! Great place!
