Great seafood in sight of the Merrimack near downtown. This has long been a family favorite for seafood and the clam chowder still holds up as one of my favorites ever. The food is fresh and delicious albeit a bit on the expensive side but you are paying for the quality. They have an outdoor deck with shade for nice days and you get great views of the Merrimack. Afterwards take a walk along the waterfront or downtown. One of the classic places to visit in Newburyport.

We ate here during a visit to Newburyport for the June festival. Wonderful food and service. We had spinach salad with tips and steak tips with clams. (Picture) Reasonably priced and ample parking.

Mom wanted a good baked haddock with bread crumbs and we found it here! I enjoyed my “shrimp scampi” but it was different than I expected: more of a platter of fried breaded shrimp and pasta with clam sauce. Better than what I thought I was ordering! lol And so much food.

This place is hidden gem . Love their food , drinks ,fresh salad . Everything was so so good . Pumpkin pie was not delicious . It seems it was not fresh but other than that it was a wonderful evening . I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Newbury port!

I was fortunate to visit as a guest of a local who’s family has patronized the restaurant for several years. We visited “under the radar” so to speak without recognition and yet were served with the most hospitable lovely service. Our food was nothing shy of delicious! We had steamed clams and mussels, a wonderful salad, and fried Haddock. Since it was a beautiful day we sat outside and had a splendid view of the harbor. I’m sure my host would love to keep this close to the vest as it’s an old school gem of the locals, but they deserve a shout out for doing everything so nicely.

I’m conflicted in writing this report. The place was nice, friendly waitress, fast service. Enjoyed all of my meal which I shared with my +1, only I ate the clams. While up violently sick at midnight, barely made it to the restroom . But, in their defense, the menu had a disclaimer “raw seafood may be hazardous to your health! Therein lies my conflict. Thought my clams were cooked!
