St Tropez’s philosophy is simple – enjoy life and treat others as you would want to be treated. Located in the heart of the West Village, one of the most welcoming and charming neighborhoods in the city, the restaurant & wine bar offers a taste of the French Riviera’s vibrant lifestyle and culinary traditions. The menu, crafted with local fresh produce sourced by our Executive Chef Gerald Barthelemy, features options for everyone, including vegetarian and gluten free preparations, cheese & charcuterie boards, salads, oysters and of course Provencal specialties. On his side, owner Yohann Pecheux, has carefully selected all the French wines on the list – more than 40 of which are available by the glass or half bottle.
Oysters, wine & Provençal cooking in a setting with warm woods, large windows & an open kitchen. Based on 650 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.5 stars. Price $$

Atmosphere: Indoor seating was extremely noisy, vibrant and lively. Service from our head waiter was average. Food: The lamb shank was salty although very tender. I would not order this again. It was served in a low bowl which made cutting it difficult. The lamb shank sat on top of the mashed potatoes making them difficult to reach with my fork. The mussels in cream and white wine were rich and tasty. The butternut squash soup was not heated evenly. The flavor of the squash is light (practically lost) with the addition of these other ingredients to the soup; ricotta cheese, oil and micro-greens. The clump of micro greens on the soup spoon were messy. It is a Veloute de Courge & Ricotta, know your French cooking terms. Not knowing what this means is my fault.

St Tropez never fails to amaze me! The first time at their Soho restaurant was unforgettable, and their ratatouille stole my heart. Now, at West Village, celebrating my friend’s birthday, I was even more impressed. The friendly waitress and delectable dishes made it a perfect night. I’m completely obsessed!

When I’m in town I come here about once a week if not more… every time it’s amazing. The atmosphere makes me feel as though I’m back in Europe, regardless of whether I’m there in the winter or summer season. Every dish is amazing! Have shared the lamb, loup de mer, onglet de bouef, paired with one of their salads. I would recommend any and all of the dishes.

Great cozy vibe at the West Village location. Tons of outdoor seating as well for those nice days. We came with a few friends for some drinks and apps before dinner. Loved the espresso martini and the oysters. The beet hummus was incredible. Love that they throw some goat cheese in there. I need to come back for dinner because there’s so much on the menu that looks amazing.

Cute place downtown! The highlight of the night was the Crevettes al Aioli (shrimp appetizer) and the burger! Both were FANTASTIC, especially the shrimp!! The lamb was good and the risotto was okay. We also had the chocolate mousse which was delicious! Nice vibes too

Great for a casual evening meal, wine sipping and people watching. Their outdoor patio is particularly cute.
