My buddy and I stopped by yesterday, for what was supposed to be a quick lunch and a beer.

If you’re a Foodie and traveling near New Orleans, please stop in at St. Rose Tavern in New Sarpy, LA. For a Wednesday what a surprise this family owned restaurant-bar was just a happenin’. Bonus… they sell canned preserves and pickled almost everything! Friendly and welcoming to us out of staters. Service beyond great. The one server was handling the bar, dine in, to go orders, call in orders and chit chatting with the fine locals all the way. She even boxed our jarred goods. Awesomest tasting burger and hot sausage sandwich we’ve had. Thanks for the hospitality St. Rose Tavern. Hope to pass thru next time.

The bartender was super super friendly and attentive. The appetizers were all frozen, total bummer. Like boo! The Po’boys were elegant but needed more sauce and moisture. 5/10 for food, 10/10 for the beer tender!

Eating here for the second time in 3 days! Food is awesome and Summer is the BEST waitress! She works her butt off to take care of her customers! There are at least 10 or 12 tables and she is the only waitress! Don’t know how she does it! Great food, great service! Highly recommend!

In the 2 weeks I was there, I probably ate 3 or 4 or 5 of those roast beef poboys. Delicious food served by friendly folks. The food ain’t usually real quick, so don’t be in a hurry when you come here or else call ahead. That’s okay though because the best things usually take a lil more time

Roast beef Po Boy! A must. Our server, Summer, was very sweet and smiled the whole time. Great recommendations on list of food and drink. Really a diamond in the debris of Hurricane Ida.

Gave this place 3 freaking times to get my food right!!!! They just can’t do it. Ordered 12 in. Dressed swiss cheese RB Xtra mayo Poboy. Green s**t was spinach/romain, 3 tiny tomatoes, no clue what cheese it was, and the RB smelled sour! And get this, when I called and asked to speak to a manager I heard the girl tell her someone wants to talk to you and she said no time for complaining call back. Really?? Will Never recommend or get anything from there again.

I’ve been thinking about this place for years since I frequently ride my bike past on the river levee. Finally got to go here for a family birthday dinner. Ten out of ten would recommend. Can’t wait to make the journey and come back.

First timer to this very nice establishment and i have to say my roast beef and grilled ham poboy – dressed was excellent! It wasn’t on the menu but, as per my request, they happily made it. Good vibes with a sweet waitress.
