We are here a few months ago and I’ve been meaning to review and just now getting to it. Our experience was great, we tried some new things and were happy with everything. Service was excellent. It’s expensive, but it was our anniversary and we really enjoyed the treat. Everything was cooked perfectly. A place like this you expect everything to be good even dishes you wouldn’t normally like and that was true. It’s food done at a higher level and didn’t disappoint!

St. John’s can highly recommended, and it lived up to the hype! The food, service, and atmosphere was top notch. They even printed “Happy Birthday” on the menus to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The menu includes lots of fresh ingredients and changes often. We got the filet and halibut, and they were both phenomenal. For dessert we got the Italian cream cake and espresso martinis. The Italian cream cake was to die for!!

So for years I’ve been told this is the best restaurant in Downtown Chattanooga. Well my wife and I disagree. We went on a Tuesday evening (May 2023) and both ordered steak and I got the scallops appetizer. The scallops were delicious and presented well but there were only three of them. I suggest serving five and raising the price if necessary. For the main course she got the filet and I got a special cut of steak that was sliced and supposed to have some special seasoning. Both our steals were presented well but both were served warm at best. The cuts of meat were good but I can season a steak better than what we received. So just one visit but for the $$$ I’d rather eat at Ruth Chris.

St.John’s is an absolute must try if you are looking for a decadent delicious meal in Chattanooga. Superior!!! From the bread and butter to the olive oil cake dessert – everything was spot on! The scallops were perfect. The wagyu ribeye was as good as it looks. And the sea bass was melt in your mouth magical. Not to mention the service was awesome; our server was so kind and helpful.

Had not eaten at St. John’s for some time until we visited last evening. We had a really enjoyable experience both from a service standpoint and the taste and quality of the foods.

First time dining for our 25th wedding anniversary. Make reservations!!! Best restaurant I’ve ever been to hands down and I’ve been to plenty all over the country. Atmosphere could use a little upgrading, tables are too close together. We could hear the table’s next to us entire conversation but they were loud. We ran out of water once but I didn’t deduct a star for service for that, they had gotten very busy. We went on Tuesday, Nov. 22. 6:30PM. The meal and our server were excellent. I’m ready to go back for any occasion!!! Best meal I’ve ever had!!!!

Absolutely fantastic experience. The menu is seasonal, but some things seem like staples. If the antelope is on when you visit, do not hesitate. Our impressions:

We had a fabulous dinner with friends! The table shared Foie Gras & Pear toast with wine. I had the roasted filet with horseradish potato puree, haricot verts & au poiver cream sauce. Then to top it off… I had the peanut butter bombe! Best dessert ever!!! ( and I am not a fan of peanut butter) LOVE St. Johns!!!

My first time experience here was fabulous. St. John”s is definitely a step above others in terms of quality, atmosphere and most importantly, flavor. The staff here is very friendly and they are knowledgeable on the best wine pairings for their foods.
