My favorite thing about having a job I travel around to the little communities of Montana is getting to eat at little local spots like Spuds! This place is amazing and if you are ever traveling through I highly recommend you stop and eat! Best burger I’ve had in some time!

If you’re driving thru Chester, Montana, Spud’s is a great local cafe. Sandwiches, burgers, all day breakfast. The French dip is a generous slab of meat and the breakfast skillet is a healthy portion of eggs, hash browns, cheese and peppers. Prices very reasonable ($9 for sandwich, $11 for skillet). The lunch hour is busy but the afternoon is quiet. Staff was friendly. A welcome respite from the highway.

What a great small town joint. It’s just a small diner in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Don’t expect gourmet dining. That being said, the waitress was friendly, service was fast, and the burger was tasty. Recommended stop if you’re driving cross country on US2!
