The food was delicious and there were many gluten free and vegan options available. The brussel sprout appetizer was the best part! They had gluten free beer too. The place was busy on a Thursday evening but we were still able to get a spot for two.

The food here is excellent! I got the Spruce burger and OMG! an honest-to-jaysus life altering ! I was not asked but mine came medium to rare and it was just perfect! The service was great. Also they have a great beer selection.

The best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. It has two properly portioned breast filets so you actually get four sides of crispy goodness. And when I say crispy, it’s not a burnt dried out coating that causes you to grasp for air.

Dinner and drinks with friends. Great atmosphere. Fun, but not loud. We had a prosecco split, Argentine Malbec and holiday hot toddy special. We shared two orders of sauerkraut balls (4 balls total) between three of us. We each ordered another dish. Two of us ordered the House Dinner salad. Delicious greens with beets and cheese crumbles tossed in balsamic dressing. The fried chicken sandwich was beautiful and perfectly crispy. Great service.

Excellent burger and fries. They get super busy during the weekend dinner service but the wait was worth it.

Visited spruce twice during our trip to Port Angeles. Sarah was one of the friendliest severs in Port Angeles and we will definitely stop by again next time we are in Port Angeles. Had the fried chicken plate the first time – it came with one of the best biscuits I’ve ever had. Instead of a perfectly formed, round biscuit, this was a pile of biscuit, and it’s irregularity is what made it perfect. Had the spruce burger the second time. Perfect example of the superiority of thick burgers over smash burgers.

Terrific roadhouse-type bar and grill in downtown PA. Food was impressive (burger was pronounced “best ever”), service was prompt and friendly, and they offer an interesting cocktail list to boot. Only 2 minor nits: the house white wine (a local chardonnay) is iffy at best, and I wish they’d swap the plastic-looking white plates for something in keeping with the overall vibe. A great meal overall – we’ll be back.
