super good burgers. Definitely premium priced too. Probably wouldn’t recommend the onion rings due to price – yowza. Stick with fries.

I did not rate for service because the young man only took our order. When we first ordered, we did not realize we had to get our own food and also bus our own table. When we paid for our order, the screens showed that 20% will be added. I realize that we could have changed it, but we didn’t realize we were doing everything ourselves. After we ordered, the young man told us they were out of ghost pepper cream cheese. So I got a substitute. When we did get our burgers, the burgers themselves were good. But the buns were going stale, and the fries were a bit overdone. I bussed my table, and the bins for cups and plates were pretty full. The young man in the kitchen was working his butt off. The one taking orders played on his phone in between customers. It was over $40 for two burgers with fries and drinks. Expensive lunch and big disappointment.

They want big tips for their staff for only taking your order giving you a glass and cooking your food. You have to clean your own table after giving them a tip. I could go to any fast food restaurant for that kind if service. I am usually very generous to restaurants and their staff but if you don’t mind all of that and over done chicken fingers for the kiddos stop in.

Excellent burgers with homemade buns. We sat outside at a picnic table. Definitely recommend if you are wanting a burger and fries.

I was super hungry, just pulled into Salida and this place was the closest and a burger sounded good. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger with friends and devoured it! It was delicious, and the owners were super nice. Will go back one day

Y’all!! My husband and I are visiting from Dallas, TX and I was REALLY wanting something to shake up my taste buds. The ‘Freebird’ chicken sandwich did not disappoint. Topped with a wonderfully seasoned crispy chicken patty, bacon, swiss cheese, and their specialty sprocket sauce; this sandwich hit the spot! The sandwich came with choice of fries, waffle fries, or onion rings. We tried the onion rings and the waffle fries- very tastey! We will definitely be coming back during our stay this week. #PregnantMommaApproved

Place is nice but could get a better burger elsewhere for a MUCH better price. Also don’t know why a tip was asked when I picked up my own order and bussed my own table. Will not be back.

Very disappointed in our lunch here. Order the Salida Slopper and a Blue Cheese Bacon burger. After about 15 minutes one of the cooks came out to tell us they were out of blue cheese and gave several other cheese options. Wife chose cheddar. Then after another 15 minute wait I finally went to the kitchen window to ask about our order. It was all sitting on the prep counter and I was told they were out of green chili (what is on top of the slopper). Cook said the pager would buzz when done. After another 10 minutes it did. Went and got food and pretty much everything was cold, including what I would guess was just made green chili. We are out cold lunch, but won’t be headed back there anytime soon.

What a great place for a great burger! Homemade! Nothing tasted frozen. It was all fresh. Grilled to perfection. We sent outside at the picnic tables. Enjoyed the beautiful view and enjoyed our wonderful lunch. Would highly recommend this place!
