Best BBQ I’ve had in years! The meat was incredibly tender, and the sauce was it’s perfect pairing. My husband and I LOVED the mac and cheese, too, it’s unlike any I’ve had before in flavor, and the most perfect creaminess. My husband was rabing about the thick, delicious chili as well. Our waiter/host/bartender was the nicest person and made us feel so comfortable in a town we’ve never visited before. I highly recommend this restaurant for food, service, and homey ambiance!

The restaurant is cool. Staff is friendly. Food is so, so. I had a two meat platter: Brisket and Pork Ribs with Baked Beans and Mac and Cheese. Another two meat platter: Burnt Ends and Pulled Pork with Chili Beans and Corn Bread.

This place is really good Carolina style bbq. The meat was tender and juicy. And the sides were delicious. My favorite thing was the chili. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because they forgot my side dishes and I had to ask for them and the tongs on the table were dirty from the previous customer otherwise I would definitely give 5 stars. Even with those small issues I will definitely be back to try more items.

Amazing service from the guy who was working morning shift on Sunday! He hooked us up with fries which was the highlight of our experience at this local bbq spot. The quality of meat was mouthwatering to handle since I haven’t had bbq for a long time. Their bbq sauce which is off to the side is tangy and adds extra juice to the texture of meat, especially the spicy bbq! If you’re looking for a kickback smokehouse that’s not in a busy area this is one of your choices. There’s meter parking down the block and a parking lot that charges you $4 all day.

Nice little find in DTLA close to union station. It’s a cool little BBQ spot. They also do craft beers. The chicharon was really good. It had a little spice with some sweet overtones. Great crunch and flavor. We shared a 2 meat platter. We got the beef ribs and brisket, with corned bread and mac & cheese as our side. The beef ribs were good. We got it without sauce to try the meat on it’s own. It’s way better with the sauce. They have 2 options, one is sweet and the other a little spicy. The brisket was good. My buddy got bunt ends. I like mine a little fatty, so these were pretty lean, good flavor though. The pulled pork was good as well. And then I tried a sausage link burger. The link was good. Good flavor with a snap on the bit. This was a pretty good BBQ spot, cant say the best I’ve ever had, but it’s pretty good. You get your money’s worth and leave pretty full. I would say, I like the chicharon the best.

Decent Carolina style bbq love the decor and overall ambiance of the restaurant. The meat is good but needs a bit more flavor . Still worth a try and they have lots of interesting beers on tap. Definitely stop by the service is great.

I’d say the only problem I had with the dishes here was the overwhelming, overpowering usage of cloves. The ambiance (we ate outside) was exactly what you’d expect. I’d mistakenly ordered the Bread pudding for first time and I’ll be making that mistake again & again!

When I travel by train to Los Angeles, this is one place I like to eat. It’s just a short walk from Los Angeles Union Station. They have a pretty decent menu and the service has always been good.

Don’t good BBQ in Chinatown? You bet. They have a good tap selection of beers also, but it was lunchtime so I didn’t have any.

The pandemic gives me pause in writing restaurant reviews because they are already suffering but this place missed the mark. I ordered from Uber Eats as this place has been bookmarked forever and I got the burnt ends, brisket, mac & cheese with coleslaw.
