Full disclosure: I am a big fan of the old school simple things from the past. Now that that is out of the way, a visit to Sprayberry’s is like stepping back in time. At time of this review, this was my 4th visit. Each time the food was good, delivered quickly, fresh & hot. The service is just as you would expect, friendly and attentive. The quality and taste has been consistent across all visits. That alone makes it worth the visit for me. They have to be doing something right – since 1926!

I am 40 years old and have been going to Sprayberry’s since I can remember, literally. If you are from the South, you will understand. I returned there after several years and ate with my parents the other evening and I felt like a kid again . Nothing has changed, from the door handles to the smell of their amazing BBQ. The service is laid back and as genuinely refreshing as ever. The food hasn’t changed, which is great. I usually have a BBQ sandwich, fries, and stew. But, really you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. I highly recommend giving one of my favorite restaurants a try!

This place was so horrible. I’m trying to be nice but I can’t after the nasty food and terrible service. They didn’t have adult silverware. They gave us baby silverware like we were kids because they didn’t have any clean. The barbeque look like something out of a horror movie with watery sauce on top. The onion rings look like they came from a grave yard buried and dug back up. If chef Ramsey came in the he would shut the place down. Sorry for sounding mean but this the nicest I can be after the experience. The waiters keep asking how was the food and I really really wanted to say something but instead I just got up and left. I.also tried the catfish and it was so greasy and soft and no more comments.

This long-established BBQ joint is still putting out excellent BBQ & ribs after nearly 100 years. To my dismay, the Brunswick Stew vat was down the day of my visit so had to ‘settle’ for the BBQ Sandwich Combo: an excellent, smokey & moist pulled-pork sandwich and a huge serving of homemade onion rings & steak fries ($10). I’m not a huge fan of vinegar-based sauce but this was quite tasty. If you can finish the mound of rings you’re a real man – it’s your own bloomin’ onion on a plate! A special message to the yuppies who disparage the ownership with bad reviews citing the “small bathroom”: It’s about the food, not the throne, so get a life. Most certainly will visit again and look forward to trying the Stew.

We shared a combo platter with ribs and Brunswick stew. The ribs were tender and just wonderful. Now while I’m not a fan of the stew my other half liked it. The slaw was my ultimate favorite and the potato salad and BBQ beans were yummy. The fried pecan pie with ice cream was awesome too….all in all great place. The wait staff were friendly and really helpful.

First visit. I ordered a bbq pork sandwich with strawberry cobbler for dessert. My wife ordered a bbq pork sandwich with slaw and a fried peach pie for her dessert. Food arrived quickly and piping hot. Very good flavor. Cobbler was excellent. The prices are reasonable as well. This location is highly recommended. Give it a try!

Family owned local southern BBQ since 1926 that’s worth a stop for its simplistic approach.

Food was OK. I had the pulled pork. Pretty good but nothing to drive out of your way for. The Brunswick stew was bland and texture less, like it was in a blender for few seconds.

Pork was dry, mac and cheese was soggy and had unmelted, shredded cheese on one half. Brunswick stew was meh, but the dessert was great. Ordering potato chips at a full-service restaurant and being handed a bag of Lay’s feels insulting. Bathroom is tiny and unclean, and the rest of the building isn’t much better.
