First day they were open, we were there for dinner. Place was fairly busy, and in the dining area, things looked to be running smoothly. Combine that with the excellent food and service, it was outstanding. I would highly recommend the fried pickles for an appetizer as they were delicious, but even if they had been so so, it would have been worth it for the Sriracha mayo alone! I also had the Philly French Dip. Excellent as well! If you are ever near the area, I would absolutely recommend that you stop in and satisfy your hunger!

We ordered the cat fish dinner, the hush puppies seemed to have been cooked more then once. They were dry and turned to powder when we tried to break them in half. Fish tasted like it was cooked in old oil. The Cole slaw was nothing but cabbage and mayo. Our son ordered the grilled chicken sandwhich and he said it was good. The people were nice but we will not be going back again.

My wife Kandi and I stopped by after work at Mammoth Cave for the first time today. She had a Cheeseburger and fries while I had the Cod fish,fries, hush puppies and slaw. The food was very good and the fries are excellent. The service was prompt and also excellent. Sportsman’s Grill is located no more than 15-20 minutes from the Mammoth Cave Visitors Center so it’s an easy drive over. I recommend you give it a try.
