We were looking for an Indo Chinese menu for a while. While visiting NYC, we randomly stumbled upon this place on google maps. So we called over.

We came here on a Sunday evening, with reservations since it was quite busy. The service was prompt and friendly. There were lots of things on the menu to choose from, all of them halal. I tried the lamb seekh kababs which were full of flavour and seasoned really well. The chilli chicken was another tasty item. The noodles were alright but not as good as the other things. The restaurant is clean, including the bathroom. Overall it was a positive experience, and I would definitely try it again.

My husband and I were able to get a table here on a Monday afternoon (July 4th observed day) without much fuss. They accept reservations but I called ahead and they said I can just walk in. When we got there, there were only 2 other groups of people but within the hour, the place was packed. It must be a popular spot. The service was wonderful and we felt welcomed as the servers were very kind and attentive. The food was a little disappointing, however. My husband quite enjoyed his lamb rogan josh but my goat bhuna was just all bones and tendon. There were about 5 pieces of goat in the dish they served and only 1 piece was actually meat! I’ve cooked goat curry numerous times before so I know chevon is a bony meat, but there are meaty parts that should be included in a dish like this. The flavor was good, however, but the meal was unsatisfying. I took a bit of my husband’s lamb to finish the garlic naan. The garlic naan was uncharacteristically thinner and less chewy than some we’ve had before and we really loved that! We also had kulfi malai (frozen treat), rasmalai, and madras coffee for dessert. The coffee is super strong and any coffee addict would love it, too bad they don’t do take out with the coffee. I would return again if in the area but stay clear of the goat bhuna.

A wide selection of Indochinese and Indian dishes. They served us a complimentary veg cutlet immediately upon seating which was a kind gesture. We ordered chicken lollipop, triple shezwan rice & noodles mix and chicken Manchurian. The food was great and service was good. I would have liked more spice but the dishes were not spicy at all. I wish they would go easy on the food color. All the dishes were bright red in color. The Manchurian didn’t have any Manchurian balls as we expected, it had pieces of chicken in it. The gravy was good with the right amount of garlic. The lollipops were nice and crispy served with a spicy mayo dip.

Spice Symphony is a must-eat and visit restaurant for Indian food. It is not your typical Indian food. Their portfolio of appetizers, Indo-Chinese, fish curries, etc. is tasty and creatively made and spiced up. Their service is amazing — they go above and beyond to make your gastronomy experience worth your time spent in their restaurant. Kudos to the owners and the spiced-up Spice Symphony team!!
