Highway 88 Hiking
This is my first time here, and so far I’m 100% impressed. First thing I had was the Crispy Calamari. Oh my gosh, this is not what you will expect. Grab your fork and dig in. For dinner, I had the fish and chips. Get rid of any idea you have in your mind about what you will receive when the server brings you the plate. This is by far the best piece of fish I have ever had…and it’s gluten-free (unless you’re Celiac, then get salad instead of the chips.

After a long day of driving and nothing really open after 8pm unless fast food. I was happy to see Spencer’s for steak’s and chops open. I ordered take out, I got a friendly reminder my food was made. When I walked in the staff was super friendly. Will definitely check out the restaurantnext time. Cool looking bar, dim lighting and the menu seems legit.

Cecilia at the Spencer’s at the Hilton in Spokane was absolutely incredible. Best service I’ve had in a long time. She was so kind and great. Give her a raise. Thank you for great service. When we asked her about items on the menu her knowledge made it come to life. Her love for what she did elevated our experience. Great job!

After arrival at the Hilton Double Tree Riverfront property about 30 minutes before the official check in time knowing that my Mrs. was more than slightly disappointed – and with her wanting a bath, to eat, and get some rest. I checked out Spencer’s in the lobby, and after checking rates for room service, I decided that it would be a great way to take a day of disappointment and turn it into a date night, so I prepared our order and ran it past the Mrs. to see if she had any changes before I placed the takeaway order for 17:00.

Two ladies came in at “last call” and the lady bar tender obviously didn’t realize we had already paid cash because we were told last call was happening as we walked in…. And the bar tender ran after us while going to our room asking (yelling at us) if we had paid our tab…. In front of others in their lobby… obviously will not be going back here considering their lack of judgement, communication, and professionalism. Unbelievable for such a great restaurant

Steak and Mushroom sauce so good at Spencer’s Steak & Chops in the Double Tree Hotel. The 9oz Cabernet complements it well. It’s the perfect Goldilocks meal; not too big, not too small, it’s just right for a perfect meal, then, off to bed & not feel bloated. The bar tender, Crystal K., is super nice! She works hard, is fast and busy, but takes just enough time to make you feel at home, like family. She really is a gem, and an asset to Spencer’s.

Howard Johnsons roadside grill. At best. The soup, salad and steaks came at the same time. None of the drinks had carbonation. It wasn’t that this is a one time problem. The quality of this place is not good. I was hesitant since it is a lobby restaurant. A complete disaster. Here is a picture to prove. The brown greasy thing was an onion ring. It had been fried so many times it was soaked in grease. I didnt eat any of the food.

The reason I gave it four stars instead of five was because it was hot in the restaurant and their portable air conditioner was not strong enough to make the whole room cool. We were a bit uncomfortable but nothing we couldn’t handle. The smoke hummus was delicious but could use a bit more spice to jazz it up. The whole trout was delicious but it just needed more chimichurry sauce. Service was great. I am happy to go back to this place again.
