Had a nice chat with the owners and they confirmed that this is their second Speedy Wok location apart from the one near 10th street. Speedy Wok has probably hands down the best Chinese food in Greenville like it’s never a hit or miss, just simply always a great hit with any cravings for Chinese.

Ordered combo shrimp with fried rice, asked for bean sprouts in my rice. They charged me $1.00 for that! Also ordered fried dumplings. First thing wrong NOT ONE BEAN SPROUT in the rice, second thing, dipping sauce for dumplings was SO spicy I couldn’t eat it! This is the third time they have screwed up my orders. Won’t be giving them my business again!!

I had beef lo mein and veggie fried rice. The beef was gray, wet, and flavorless. The rice was hard and dry. I will not return. Back to Sakura Asian Express I go for any Asian food.

This place far exceeded my expectations–and I’m a pretentious New Yorker! I was in town for a job, and I wanted some Chinese food. I went in with low expectations, but boy was I wrong. Now keep in mind that Speedy Wok falls in the category of your typical Chinese American fare. But they brought some really solid Chinese flair and ingredients that I was super pleased with. Looking forward to returning here in the future.
