I have lived in Apex for many years. This place has had its ups and downs. I think recently they are batting 1000. While I was disappointed by the removal of the jalapeno hush puppies recently I continue to go here. I like the massive burgers like the Bull Durham. The beer is always cold. You might say yeah so what but when you like beer and its not cold you really appreciate folks that take their time to handle this detail. Overall they do a great job and their service has improved TREMENDOUSLY over the past couple years. Try prime rib on Thursday and the prime rib Philly on Friday.

Service and atmosphere were fine. The food was not. I got the Ribs & Wings combo and couldn’t have been more disappointed. The ribs were rubbery and fatty rendering them basically inedible. The wings were all over the map. Some were under done and some were dry and over cooked. And it cost $17.49! Also they got rid of the mashed potatoes and gravy and sweet potato fries. They must have changed management or something. We will not be going back.

I ordered a to-go order for 10 wings, and requested 5 of them in one flavor and 5 in another. I was charged $1.50 extra to have the wings in separate flavors. I was charged another $0.25 for it being a to-go order, which I have never seen at a bar-style restaurant before. The wings were actually good, but I can’t give the food a good score overall, because one of the wings was really pink in the middle.

We were pleasantly surprised with this place. The BBQ ribs and pulled pork were incredible. The wings were fried crispy with a good hot sauce. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It had plenty of booth space in the bar and restaurant for kids.

First and only Gay bar in Apex. What a joke, served by Gays with live Gay music. Just sad for this little town. Better off across the street at JD’s. No, I an NOT associated with either simply a customer who likes not to be served by beyond open Male Homosexuals. Call me what you will. Food is far better at JD’s also.

Service was good but the food was not good. The wings we ordered were stale and the next day we had a bad stomach. Will not go back to this place again. Disappointed with the poor quality of food.
