We stopped in for a cafe con leche one morning and WOW this place did not disappoint. I lived in Tampa for a bit and became accustomed to cafe con leche and Cuban bread, and this place brought me right back there. So delicious. I ordered Cuban toast (tostada) and my wife got the Elena sandwich. It was so much food we had them wrap up 1/2 of it to go before we left. (If you’ve already had breakfast earlier you may just want the toast, it was plenty.) The wash was a great environment to sit and chill this morning and enjoy some amazing coffee and food. We’re so lucky to have a place like this nearby. If you need a great coffee with a filling bite, or looking for that authentic Cuban spot, just get there.

Personally, I would give a five star rating solely based upon their Cuban sandwich. It’s pretty outstanding – it has to be one of the best in the Nashville area. The first thing that you’re gonna notice is the exterior crunch – absolutely perfect complement to the goodness on the inside. Their black beans and rice are a perfect side item and complement to most menu items. The outside seating is shared amongst the other restaurants, however there is typically plenty places to sit. The decor and outdoor setting tends to give it a coastal region, beach type vibe – some shade, with consistent gentle breezes. Fantastic spot for the Cuban fanatics.

Omg the best cuban sandwich so far compared to Silver ring Restaurant Ybor City in Tampa Fla . And the atmosphere was awesome Ty we really enjoyed our lunchtime. We only got the cuban sandwich but we are looking forward to trying more .

OMG! Everything I ordered was A-Maz-ing! Cuban sandwich, palomilla steak, black beans and rice, plantains cooked perfectly, and the guava and cream cheese pastry were all so good and took me right back home to South Florida. I have been in Nashville for six years and have finally found what I was looking for.

If you are in the mood for some Cuban food, this is the only spot you need to visit. There are so many great choices on their menu. My favorite has to be the Bistec de Palomilla.

Finally found a great Cuban joint located in East Nashville. Food tasted very flavorful with delicious taste and freshness. Beef empanadas were on point. The food portions and prices match your dollar. Great job to the team who runs this place, definitely will be back for more Cuban food. I recommend empanadas every time you are at this place.

At this point my husband and I have been to Soy Cubano over 50 times (at The Wash and pop-ups). Every time the food has been 100%, Cuban coffee the best in town, and customer service is top-notch. We’ll continue going here at least every other week!

This is a hidden gem. Cafe con leche took me back to mi Puerto Rico and the cuban sandwich was the best I’ve had in years. Food came out hot and fresh. The cashier person was friendly and helpful. The outside seating was clean and had shade..
