This is one of those off the beaten path places that you make the journey to… well worth the adventure! Truly incredible bbq experience for those who appreciate the craft…. excellent sausage, flavorful brisket burnt ends, tender smoky pork & a juicy chicken qtr. Sides mac-n-cheese & Brunswick stew w/ cornbread…. perfect accompaniments to the meats. If you’re local, you’re lucky. If you’re traveling get there & get some!

From the outside this place doesn’t seem that interesting but once you get inside it’s really great! From the food to the service to the vibe – everything is great.

We had bbq sandwich and ribs. Both were great. Sides were hash with rice, not good watery rice with just watery pork, ok mac and cheese. Also ordered fried green tomatoes. These were mushy and soft with no taste. Would not order again

I like to stop and eat at BBQ joints when ever I travel. Stopped here for lunch. Place was clean and staff were friendly. Wife got a cheeseburger and fries. She said it was very good. I got the pulled pork with sides of sweet potato fries and brunswick stew. BBQ looked to be finely chopped not pulled which is not a concern to me. However…while the Q was very moist, it was overly sweet like it had been sauced with a lot of sugar. Added some of the BBQ sauce labeled Sweet ( they had sweet, hot and a third bottle that was not labeled ) which seemed to cut down on the sweetness of the Q, still too sweet though. My question is…the place says on their menu “Home of the No Sauce Needed BBQ”….so why to they have sauces on the tables ? The sweet potato fries were very good. The real surprise to me was the Brunswick stew. It had a very smokey taste that made it some of the best I have ever had. If I come back here I would get the brunswick stew over the Q. Prices were decent and portions in line with other places I have eaten at.

The Brunswick stew is the best ever. No way to there and not get it. It’s the best I’ve had in years. The ribs are really good also. The mustard sauce needs some work. I go there often.

Decent food and prices. However the issue is mostly the atmosphere which is…BORING! It’s cabin like decor is pretty yes but there’s literally nothing to make you feel happy that your there. It’s quiet. Your conversation almost echos. No music other than subtle tunes coming from the kitchen. The staff is boring and uninterested in being there. An older lady bent over at the register on her phone. Served drinks in styrofoam cups and ketchup served in packets….chileee please if I wanted that I’d go to any run down diner. Sodas taste better from a glass cup. I believe even their silverware was plastic as well but don’t quote me. It screams too lazy to wash so we’re gonna serve you like a picnic.

First time here. I like to try all kinds of BBQ places and this was one I hadn’t tried yet and it’s only 10 minutes from my house.

This “hole in the wall” out of the way place is too die for. The shredded pork plate was awesome and the fall off the bone rack of ribs cant be missed.

Bbq was excellent. Potato salad was ok, don’t believe it was homemade. All booths no tables in this restaurant and the booths were not comfortable. Handicap parking are just in the wrong spot. They are at the other end of the building opposite of the door. I’d come back for the bbq.

My 1st time ever eating brisket. I was so excited. It was dry, no flavor. The only flavor was the tiny bit of sauce that was put on a small part of the sandwich. When I ordered the sandwich I told the lady it was my first time eating a brisket sandwich. She asked if I wanted the sauce on rhe side cause it was a little spicy. I said no, put it on the beef. Just so dissappointed. Guess I set my expecations way to high.
