Read the menu outside by the door and saw the brie with the caramel and apples that’s what brought me inside. Can I just say I’m so glad because it was to die for. With that my husband had the blackened catfish with the grits and green beans, he said the catfish was fantastic Season perfectly I didn’t try it I don’t care for blackening but I did try the grits and green beans So delicious! I had the bacon quiche I am particular about my quiche so let me tell you if you’re thinking about it Get it delicious with a salad as you can see by the pictures Nice size portions. I have nothing bad to say. On top of all this Bree was our server probably one of the best servers I’ve ever had. She was great at describing the dishes I had like five I wanted so she was very helpful in narrowing that down. Food was brought out timely our drinks never were empty outstanding service.

Homey atmosphere, friendly servers, and delicious food. I had a cup of cheddar potato soup and for an entree, shrimp and grits (with NC yellow grits). The food was delicious! It was so much, however, that I didn’t have time to try one of their delicious desserts. Next time!

Great place. We went when they had recently opened. Decided to go for lunch today. Food was delicious and plentiful. They have good lunch specials. I had the quesadilla lunch special and my wife had the fried green BLT. If you haven’t gone you should definitely give them a try!

Stopped at a little restaurant along the way called Southern on Main. Cute little place with a wonderful outdoor seating area that was very dog friendly! The service was great and everyone was very accommodating. They have a full bar and the “sweet mama bloody mary” did not disappoint. They brought dinner rolls that were very tasty, sweet, with that taste like good old fashioned yeast rolls. Next we engaged with the Brussel sprouts and gouda Mac and cheese. The Brussels were cooked very well with that little browned edge. The gouda mac and cheese was underwhelming. I expected more cheesy flavor or more richness. Both portion sizes were large for the price. Plenty to share! We ordered 3 different entrees, the blacked fish with grits was complimentary to each other, the blackened fish was too salty but the grits didn’t have enough salt, so I guess it equalled out. The braised short ribs were cooked perfectly and came with the perfect combo of foods. The 10 ounce ribeye was a great price but again, lacking that rich flavor we were looking for and under cooked for a medium steak. That meal came with mashed potatoes and green beans that were both cooked to perfection. Overall, good food that just lacked that good overall southern cooked meal taste we expected. I would go back and try something else. You should try it for yourself!

Really nice little gem of a restaurant in Elkin! I had the slow braised beef and it was tender and delicious with a gravy that just tied it all together so nicely. Nice cozy atmosphere and we also enjoyed the artwork!

The food and service are great. We came for lunch. We had two dogs and a baby, so we sat on the pet-friendly patio. We ordered the fried okra, brussel sprouts, and fried green tomato BLT. All were excellent. I could tell the okra was very fresh, even after being deep fried. The Brussels had a great glaze, and came with perfectly cooked bacon bits. The green tomato slice was thick, which made the BLT fantastic. The pesto mayo tasted great. It wasn’t slopped on. I don’t normally like mayo, but they used just enough to add a great pesto flavor. The sandwich bread was perfectly toasted.

I had brunch my first time there. I dined in. The service was great and the food was delicious. my omelet was perfect, mimosa was very tasty and the fruit delicious. Defiantly 5 stars for that visit. Unfortunately dinner this time didn’t do it for me and gets 3 stars for the whole experience. I ordered take out. My order was incorrect on one plate all I asked for were 2 items and I ended up with 2 of the same plate and my name was not taken for my order. Mom said the breast looked like boneless thighs and they did however it was good. My fried green tomatoes looked yellow and were not done. The tomato was still hard. I only took one bite. I didn’t like the Cabbage. Too much water and all I tasted was sugar. The mashed potato’s had the peeling in them. I have seen them with the red but not the brown although I don’t like the skin either way the brown skin in them really is not for me. Most of all the bread pudding was cold as ice and defiantly not what I’m used to. This meal not worth the money for me. Over all it’s a nice restaurant and brunch is defiantly going to happen again. Maybe dinner, just not that meal.
