Being from Kentucky, this was a treat to find delicious southern food on Long Island! And they definitely passed the test! The fried okra is the best I’ve ever put in my mouth! In the south, we’d say “it’s so good, it makes your tongue wanna jump out your mouth and slap your momma.” Try the fried catfish… I dare you!

Wow I feel like calling New York City health department on them. The food was horrible. I am really sick.- two bites of meat, two spoonfuls of the sides. I could tell the food was odd tasting, especial the meat, it was like rotten.

Food was good but service was a bit slow. We were the only 2 people at the restaurant and the waitress was very novice. Don’t get me wrong she was very sweet & respectful but when you’re hungry and someone doesn’t know the ropes it’s frustrating. Hopefully next time there is more training & faster service. Street Parking available, restroom located in back. Dine in available & pick up. Pleasant Music & atmosphere.

Great bartender. Very well-mannered gentlemen making drinks for a big oarty that was there celebrating an anniversary of some sort, and also making drinks for customers walking in, and he was taking food orders! He needs a raise or promotion, in my opinion. The food was ok. I ordered the spinach, and it was a little salty, I was able to switch it to cabbage, which was really good, I also ordered catfish bites, real good also, the ribs and mac cheese was good too. I would definitely eat here again.

Food was good. The mac and yams were good. The BBQ chicken was not the best. The sauce was just put on top. The service was great, they made a mistake and corrected it with ease. Workers were polite.

I ordered baked bbq chicken, collard greens and yams. . No bbq sauce on the chicken but it was tasty. Yams and collard greens tasted like they were out of the can. They tried to doctor the yams up. I’m used to the old fashioned way of collard greens and yams. Most places are like this but they do a better job with the yams. This was my first time and I probably won’t be going back. When I have a craving I’m just going to have to stop being lazy and cook it myself. Also, I’m used of some kind of bread with the meal. Don’t know if it was an oversight, but none came with it

I’ve been eating the cat fish from this restaurant for some time now! Until I started seeing how people are substituting catfish for a cheaper fish(Swai). It then hit me that my fish never has a fish odor even when I reheat it at home! It made me wonder are we getting true catfish? I would love to get it tested! It’s against the law to say you are selling catfish and it’s a cheaper brand(swai)! We are so accustomed to taste (seasoning) we don’t look at the overall picture! I really hope it’s the real deal!
