We wanted to buy some peaches and headed to SC. We just happened to see Southern Barbeque across the road. I am so glad we did. From the waitresses being so friendly and acted like they have known you forever to the amazing food. I promise go there and eat. You will not be disappointed. We live over an hour away and we are already planning another trip to just eat there.

I moved to New England 12 years ago and every time I come to the south I have to stop here!! I’m happy to say I just moved back to SC and will be grabbing lunch here today. We went on a Friday night and waited for our take out food for less than 5 minutes. Amazing price and the food was delicious. My husband is very picky about BBQ and we will be returning for years to come.

Visited 1/27/21., around 7PM. (FYI: No employees were wearing masks, not even in kitchen.) Ordered combo plate to go: ribs, pulled pork, slaw, subbed stew instead of fries, hush puppies. Half rack not fall-off-the-bone style but pretty good and not dried out. Pulled pork was also pretty good and not dry. Slaw was not my style; it was vinegary and not sweet. Stew was very good with nice balance of meat, veggies. Hush puppies were really good. Server said potato salad and onion rings are good so it might warrant another trip to try those. Also, food came out really quickly. Don’t forget to ask for extra sauce and ketchup. Good option if you’re in the area.
